    Hello Lucybird,
  3. Aspartame is in an awful lot of things, it`s difficult to avoid it, as said previously, buying fresh produce and cooking from scratch is probably the best way. I find trying to buy low fat yoghurts that don`t contain it the hardest.
  4. I didn`t watch it, and I can`t imagine why any parent would put their child in this situation, a parent should know whether their child could cope in an emergency, feed themselves, make drinks etc. without putting them in a program like this. If they did this program for older teens I would see more sense in it, the age group they`re using seems far too young to me.
  5. No, it makes me cringe!
  6. Corned beef, chips and beans, I was too engrossed in my book to bother cooking!
  7. I found it so weird that I couldn`t bear to watch it, and because of that I didn`t know what they were advertising until I read it on here!
  8. Alex Morse charged through the lobby of the new University Medical Centre like a doctor to a code call, True Evil ~ Greg Iles
  9. I used to be an avid James Patterson reader. Particularly the Alex Cross novels and then the womens murder club series. Then it seemed to me that James Patterson started churning out books so thick and fast, they lost something, they just didn`t seem as good. I haven`t read anything by him for a long time, can`t even remember which was the last book of his I read now.
  10. I wasn`t sure about it to begin with, but soon really got into it. I was hoping it would be on consecutive nights, but no, got to wait another week. I agree Janet, I think it`s the best ITV have done for quite a while.
  11. What a good idea, didn`t think of that use for them, might have to take another trip to Borders and buy one this time.
  12. I sort of wish I did eat fish though, because it is good, health wise, for you, but I`m still not trying it!
  13. Borders had some calendar bookmarks, a booklet of 12 bookmarks, ! for each month of the year, different designs & reduced to
  14. If my TBR pile includes library books I`ll read them first, the others I choose what I fancy at the time but I must confess it`s often a case of last in first read! for no particular reason.

    Evening all

    Hello Paul,
  16. There are lots of "fishy" foods I haven`t tried, I just don`t think I`d like them but I`m not prepared to try them to find out for certain.
  17. Sweet and sour with rice
  18. Monty Python The Holy Grail, never fails to cheer me.
  19. True Evil, I`m glad you recommend it, I`ve got it ready to read next. I`ve only read a couple of Greg Iles other books (can`t remember the titles!)but they were both very good too.

    Hello :D

    Hello Huda,
  21. I hadn`t heard about that, it`s about time I think.
  22. Why am I not surprised? mind you good or bad doesn`t really make much difference, as the voting seems to be political anyway.
  23. Hello
  24. If I`ve put a book down because I`m not in the right mood for it, I`ll try again when I feel I am ready for it. If I`ve given up because I really don`t like the book, I won`t try it again.
  25. I cried when I read the Book Thief too.
