  1. Hello and welcome I can`t help with that book but I`m sure somebody here has read it.
  2. I can imagine, it`s amazing how much we rely on the internet, I know I`d be climbing the walls without it! last time ours was down it was only off for an evening but every 5 minutes I was trying it to see if it was back on. Good job it doesn`t happen often!

  3. Therapy ~ Sebastian Fitzek Brief Synopsis: For several months 12year old Josy has been suffering a mystery illness, doctors can`t find any reason for her sickness. Then one day Josy mysteriously vanishes without a trace. Her father Viktor Larenz, a well known psychiatrist, finds it impossible to come to terms with her disappearance and is sure she must be dead, but there`s no body and no closure for him. Viktors marriage suffers as a consequence and four years later he takes himself to an island retreat in an attempt to heal. While on the island an author comes to see him and asks him to help her, she`s a schizophrenic and says characters she`s written about come to life. The story she tells reminds him of Josy........could there be a connection? I thought Therapy was a brilliant psychological thriller, from the word go I was absorbed in the story and found it hard to put down. The description of the island and the depth of the characters was superb. The story was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. I will certainly be looking out for more books by Sebastian Fitzek and highly recommend Therapy. 10/10
  4. "Five years ago today......" That`s Another Story ~ Julie Walters
  5. I`ve only been to Lidls once, but I`ve been told that on the day the new offers come in, you have to watch out or you get crushed in the rush!
  6. Isn`t it annoying when that happens? Good to see you back.

  7. I think you should organise that immediately - bet your friends won`t need much persuading!
  8. It doesn`t bother me that much, but I do wonder why they number the pages the way they do. It would make more sense if they started the "reading" pages at number one.
  9. Hello and welcome Cathryn.
  10. Yes, if you haven`t tried Greg Iles before you definately should soon.
  11. True Evil ~ Greg Iles Brief Synopsis: FBI agent Alexander Morse is a specialist Hostage Negotiator, until tragedy in her personal life changes that. Her father is shot and killed and her mother is dying from cancer. During a hostage situation Alexander makes a fatal error, as a result she is injured and left badly scarred, but worse than that a colleague is shot dead. Not long after this her sister suffers a stroke and tells Alexander that her own husband was responsible, she makes Alexander promise to take her son Jamie away from his father. Alexander promises she will, despite having her doubts about the story..... Can Alexander prove her sisters story? Could a divorce lawyer be involved - he has wealthy clients whose spouses are dying of, apparently, natural causes. Can Alexander prove her suspicions to the next potential victim, Dr. Chris Shepherd, she needs his help but can she convince him? This was the third Greg Iles book I`ve read, and it was just as good as the last two. It was fast paced and the characters were good. On the whole a very good thriller, my only criticism would be that perhaps it didn`t need to be over 600 pages long, I`m not sure. Certainly worth reading if you like this genre of book. I`ll definately be reading more of Greg Iles. 8/10
  12. In the CrossStitcher magazine I bought yesterday, there were some really sweet ideas for children. A Winnie the Pooh cushion and a Building ABC. For people who know what they`re doing there are some lovely ideas.

    Hello Bee and welcome.
  14. Grandad had some brilliant one liners, that were always delivered so straight faced, I can`t remember the actors name but he was a very good in that role.
  15. I don`t think I`ll be rushing to read Oscar Wilde!

Therapy was brilliant, I think it`s the best book I`ve read for a long time. From the first page I was gripped, I read it in a little over a day - you must read it soon, trouble is, it`s difficult to follow it. Think I need to read a totally different genre next, so I`m going to start, Dear Fatty - Dawn French, today. x

  16. Congratulations on reading your first classic! I`m glad you got through it.

  17. Hello and welcome.
  18. It`s called CrossStitcher, having looked at it properly I think it`s too hard for a novice, so I`m going to look out for an easier one, I don`t want to be put off before I start!
  19. thank you. I was only thinking of you the other day, hadn`t seen you on here for a while - hope you`re well and everythings ok?

  20. I had chicken fajitas and some rather lovely cocktails this evening, I ate out with friends and it was very nice.
  21. I`ve taken your advice and picked up a cross stitch magazine, it`s got a free Oriental Elegance kit with it. So I just need to make time to give it a go now.
  22. Oh, Therapy is brilliant! you won`t be disappointed I`m sure. And if you`re a Stephen Fry fan you`ll enjoy his too, they`re both very good books. Highly recommended.
