It was very quiet - but I don't mind quiet! I'ts my hubby's birthday this weekend though, so I'm going out tomorrow to get him a present. I almost bought the Twilight series today, just to see what all the hype was about. I kept thinking of your thoughts on it and somehow I dont think its my thing, not gory or twisted enough. I think I'll wait til the hype has died down and they start appearing in the offers sections of the book stores! I'm on the lookout for a Raven Hart series starting with A Vampires Seduction. Its supposed to be very good, and I bought Bitten by Kelley Armstrong today which also gets good reviews on the forum. My current read was sent to me from Ceinwenn so I don't want to hang on to it too long on her, want to get it sent back soon. Then I might read The Picture of Dorian Gray, I got it in a charity shop last week for

Ugh, that's not good, I hate allergies. I'm allergic to something, don't know what, along with penicillan. I have to take anti-histamines every day otherwise I tend to swell up in very inconvenient places including my tongue! This, I believe can be pretty dangerous so I don't mind taking the tablets I hope you get your allergy sorted soon, horrible to have.

Thanks for the house comments , I did have to have a quick tidy before I took pics, I even made Kookie get off her pc for 10 mins! Still a bit to go with the house but its coming along.

Oh good, glad to hear it. I'm trying to broaden my book choices so I think I'll try some of the classics (at least the ones with a 'horror' type spin). Besides Dorian Gray in the film 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' was delish! The Time Travellers Wife sounds interesting too.

I'm gonna make another recommend to you then I'll shut up Have you read any of the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay? The television series 'Dexter' is based on them. Basically Dexter is a serial killer, but with a difference, he only kills bad people. I've never read anything like it before and Dexter the character is actually quite funny, in a dark kind of way. If you have seen any of the series don't worry, it's only losely based on the books which are far better. Check out my 'charms choices' thread to see my full thoughts. I think they might surprise you!

Kookie needs a bit of prodding to tidy her room, but she's really a sweetheart when she wants to be, she doesn't mind ironing though thank goodness Shame you can't get Emma to be more enthusiastic about cleaning the rest of the house, how good would that be! Heaven!

Thanx. It was a spinal op so I'm outta action for a while. Am currently sitting on the couch propped up with about 200 cushions, my lappy on my knee and OH in makin me tea! At least !'ve managed to stay awake for a decent amount of time lol
