  1. :haha: sorry bout the snort! At least you weren't drinking anything, could have been worse!

I do agree, it is nice to get on and reaquainted with you lot! I couldn't even bring myself to sign in for a while let alone post. It's funny how it helps and how people like yourself help without even realising it

  2. not a ladies night no, we're having some good friends over to stay so no doubt it will be a late night ;) will be having a few drinks to try and forget how old I am .. if I stay awake long enough :icon_eek:

So pleased you're finding Dex as good as I did, I think it is a very different take on the thriller thing, so refreshing! :D

I keep telling myself I won't be on here long, I actually came online to do my grocery shopping and got ... well .... distracted :giggle: I really should get it done or we will have nothing to eat or drink at the weekend! :haha:

  3. The Finns sound like lovely people and if I ever get there I will definately look you up!

Have a great week hun, enjoy yourself and all that book browsing :D Have a good night and I'll catch up when you get back.:hug:

  4. yes, your profile page  but now that you mention it, your av creeps me out, he's the bad guy!! :icon_eek: I would definately not want to be his snack

Sorry I meant to say there are 9 Sookie books in total, I'm on number 7 and loving them. Just realised too that I don't get FX so won't be able to watch the series! :cry2:

I'm trawling for a new av, any idea?

  5.:lol: Brilliant! I love it - reminds me of my youth lol  Much better :D

I love decorating ... well watching OH doing it! :smile2:

  6. :yahoo: You did it and I'm so proud! :D Well done, and don't worry the wrinkles don't start til the 4000 mark ;)

Oh and you're absolutely right, you haven't wisened up at all. (I wouldn't have ya any other way  )

  7. 6 weeks! That sounds like heaven! You're bound to get loads of reading done, I hope your mojo stays the whole time :D I've seen the film Copycat with Sigourney Weaver and did enjoy it so I think I may just look out for the book. I just read your last review, it was great (:lurker: you might want to change the title, Cause for Alarm. That caught me out too!)

I hope you like Dexter By Design, I thought he was back on form again in this one :D

  8. Agghh! Nooo! :( Oh well... I'll miss our wee chats but I do hope all enjoy yourselves :friends0: and thanx for the good wishes, i dare say I'll be back on soon giving off about something or other!!

Unfortunately I have to go now and take my daughter to GB, but I'll prob be on later. If I dont see ya have fun and I'll cya soon :hug:

  9. Ahh... book shopping. The best kind :D. You lucky thing, enjoy! Our new house is brand new, but its styled in a gothic sort of way. Its getting painted inside at the min and getting ready to be tiled so hopefully we'll be in either side of easter :smile2:

    Enjoy your shopping!

  10. All the best for tomorrow and hope its the last one you have to attend in a long long time

Spooky is an absolute sweetheart and a real softie :smile2: We got him from the USPCA to keep the mice down out here and he's brill at it! Although I think his confidence outweighs his abilities - he's even tried to catch a lamb, a calf, a brace of pheasants and a large hare. A rabbit is about the biggest thing he's actually caught! I've tried to tell him but he wont listen  stupid cat ...lol Anyway, Im rambling again (I tend to do that) so I'll go and say Take Care :friends0:

  11. Argghh its not fair. msn just says 'sorry this service is unavailable at this time. please try again later' :irked: D can sign in no prob too :motz:Hope its not my lappy, its been playing up lately, might have to wipe it and reboot from the discs soon

Darn tootin you'll have to look for internet cafes, otherwise I'll come lookin ya!

  12. As long as I stay doped up, it's bearable  I still have to change positions cause I get sore in the one spot but I believe it might be a bit easier than yesterday ... I hope! thank you for asking

How have you been lately? Are the headaches still bad?

  13. Aw I'm sorry hun  I keep forgetting about the language thing because your english is excellent! Just use a heading of say 'Fablon covered books'? Then list the ones that are covered. But don't worry, I'm sure everyone will get the gist of what you mean. :)

Well I'm off now to do some baking, I really shouldn't though, my waistline does not appreciate it!

  14. Aw thank you! You're right! It felt like months! I've still got 3406 unread posts to get through :icon_eek:

I can't understand how you can actually like moving! I hate it :irked: Thankfully though this is the last time. I can't believe how much stuff we have, all had to be packed and still loads of unpacking to do :( We're getting there though. We finally got our kitchen sink plumbed in yesterday, its been like camping up til then!

Its great to be back, I missed this place! I think you forget how much you depend on the internet these days and my god I even got bored sometimes in the evening! (no satellite TV yet either )

  15. Aw thank you! I'm glad you think it's good enough for Grand Designs  When we finish the outside I'll post pics and you'll see it looks pretty ordinary from the outside ;) Not sure if it would be dramatic enough for Kevin McCloud

My OH and I pretty much come up with the interior stuff ourselves, I really love period style and gothic stuff (hence the arch windows) so I tend to stick to that. I really would love to have found an old church to renovate but it just didn't happen. Mind you a few people have mentioned it looks like a church from the front, I wonder if I should place a collection tray just inside the front door for when visitors arrive!

  16. Aw thanks  you're making me blush! I'm so pleased you like it, I'm really lucky my OH does all the work himself, he's tiling the kitchen floor at the min. The bathroom with the large bath is connected to my bedroom, you know me, I love my bath! The jets help with my joints too. The other bathroom is only really used by the kids and visitors although at the minute my living room rug is steeping in soapy water in the tub! The dog was out and either rolled in a cow pat or a cow stuck its ar5e over the fence and pooed on her! She was rotten! She proceeded to come in lie on the rug! Stupid dog had to be bathed too :irked: My son will be pleased you like his choice of colour, I quite like it myself too :)

thank you for all your lovely comments, they help make it all worthwhile

  17. Aw thanx hun  I'm good thx .. apart from a hangover  Twas a good night though, so I don't mind ;)

How are you? Is you OH gone back to the states yet? Hope you're well xo

  18. Aw that sucks :console: It must be really hard to have to leave each other, I don't know how you do it. Did you tell me you're moving to the states eventually? Or did I just make that up

Twitter eh? I have a twitter account but never use it, can't even remember my password  I know you had a bad experience but I wish you'd rejoin facebook though, there are loads of us on there from bcf and you can go and block people before they try to add you as a friend, I've had to do it :irked: and then they can't see your page or you theirs. Please please please! Besides ... I could do with another farmville neighbour :P

  19. Aw you poor thing! I hope you're really feeling better after your emotional crisis! ... and as for the food ... we'll say no more except that I'm glad you're sorted on that front again :irked:

You will see pictures in a couple of weeks when its more ... what's the word .... oh yes! Finished! :irked: We moved in last Wed and only got our kitchen sink plumbed in today  Its been like camping! We've been keeping the local takaways in business  Once I get on a bit with it and get it looking presentable I promise I'll send you pics ( I do love it though :exc:)

  20. Aww you are definately not neutral and non-existing  You are one of my favourite people on here and definately one of the nicest! I did notice you were gone too, didn't I? Oh dear god ... now I sound like a stalker! :icon_eek: I'm not really

Your decision not to use that idea is probably a wise one

  21. Bonsoir Genevieve! (I hope that is right, it has been a long time since I passed my french exams :o)

You're very welcome about Dexter. He's really not as bad as you may fear and is actually very likeable and endearing ... for a seriel killer  The Hunchback on the other hand is not such a good read to me I'm afraid, the writing is a bit too flowery for my liking and the book is moving along a little bit too slow for my taste, but I shall persevere (for a while anyway).

How has your day been? I hope it has been tres bon! I was out today organising curtains to be made for my bedroom, its quite gothic in taste so I'm all excited :D

    Take Care xo

  22. Boy you've had a rough time of lately haven't you? Sounds like the kids have been bringing home all sorts from school! Mine do that too, they get a small dose and because me or the OH are the ones it's passed on to we get a major dose! Always the way :irked: It also sounds like there's no point in you taking the antibiotics now, eardrums burst, infection over! Well that's what my doc kept saying to me, she was very anti antibiotics, as was I, they always ended up making me feel worse for some reason. At least you're not lopsided now too  I had all sorts of images going round my head!

I think I may be coming down with something myself, woke up this morning feeling really drained, sinus headache, aches and pains and one minute sweating, the next shivering! Hasn't developed so far, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed ;)

Glad you're feeling better mate

  23. Dexter the books are way better than the series, mind you I only watched the first season, but the books really show his human side too and explain a lot more. If you like I'll lend you my set, I know you look after books so its no problem :D .. and as for Deaver? Well his stuff is just great, I have a spare copy of The Bone Collector you can have if you like, just pm me your address :D Kookie is a slow reader and has been away at her friends for the past two days so has really only just started Twilight but she really liked the film so I'm sure she'll like the book too.

Btw I read your thread asking for blogging help. Unfortunately I don't have a blog or I would do what you asked but I really admire you for what you're doing, it sounds awful what you went through.

  24. Charm

Dont tell me you been here all day!

lmao btw at you two on the preference game !!

  25. Evening :D I haven't had a full blown headache since the couple I had after coming off the meds (touch wood!), thanks for askin! :D I did try the aspirin and paracetamol combined like you suggested and it worked! Hard on the stomach though so not something you could take all the time. I'm gonna see the doc next week, so she prob try something else as they could be back by then. I just wish I knew what triggered them but it's a relief to know that at least I have something in the meantime that actually helps, even if it is a short term aid ;)

How's the back? Any relief from physio? I tried it myself but it never helped me, I enjoyed the massage aspect and she tried acupuncture on me too but unfortunately I have numbness due to nerve damage down my legs so couldn't feel the needles  I really hope it helps you though, I know it works for some so I'll keep my fingers crossed xo
