We've had no probs with her at all, she's in tip top shape (just a very small staffie) Rosie on the other hand is allergic to everything (even dog biscuits ) she is the vets best customer !!!

Hi Nici, my sympathies to you and your family. Your poor mum had a long battle, that's one thing my mum didn't have to go through, she was unwell for a short time and then just taken from us we didn't really have time to think about it. This forum seems to be a good place for sharing our feelings and getting some friendly support.
It's not just about the books it's a real feeling of friendship.

No problem, I know it tough for you right now, the only piece of advice I can give is that you need to try and be strong for your mum's sake, she will probably need to see that you are coping ( I know my mum did: she found some peace of mind thinking that I would be ok) you can fall to pieces, cry, scream, rant and generally lose control in private. I know my mum felt terrible guilt, that she was putting me through such heartache, like it was something she could control, ( Mums , what are they like !!
) I wrote a poem after I lost her ( it's with one of the pics on my profile) it sums up what I felt at the time. I wish I could make your pain disappear. You are doing great so far, keep smiling as best you can.
Big hugs & don't let life grind you down

I used to work as a care assistant in a nursing home so I know how tough it is to watch someone you love end up like that. It was one of my Mum's worst fears that she'd end up like that so at least her nightmare never came true. Unfortunatly though she was taken from me too soon for my liking. Diagnosed with Cancer in Sept 2006 and I lost her 5th Dec 2006, I still grieve for her now, I have found that time does not heal !! Oh god listen to us getting all depressed !!
I'm glad you like the pics of the dogs, I can't seem to find any of Rosie as she is now( hubby says they are in the loft !!) I just think it's a good excuse to take some more !!

Yeh a meet up would be good. I just don't think there is enough bookshops in the area. Esp somewhere you could take your used books and get some money for them. I'm thinking monthly book club meetings in the shop too !! I've got it all planned, just need the ooomph to start seriously working on it.
