  1. Nightswallow by Bronwen Winter Phoenix and Dime Store Magic by Kelley Armstrong sound quite good, I'll put them on my list...
  2. It's the first Dan Brown book that I've read. It started very boring with all this computer talk (which I know nothing about) but it got better towards the end.
  3. I read the first two books and really liked them. Of course they
  4. oh my god! I can't believe it! I'm still reading "Brisingr". I'm stuck with this book for 4 weeks now, at least. There are still 150 pages left and it's driving me insane.
  5. I've read both books and liked them. They're very easy to read, quick to finish. Something fun for inbetween.
  6. That is a really nice idea for a challenge, I might do yhat sometime myself when I'm back home.
  7. Mostly I just read one, but sometimes a book that sounds more interesting crosses my way and then I read two books. But never more. I voted 2
  8. lol, no... I definately need to get rid of all those books, they're way to heavy to travel with!! I don't know, my brain seems to shut down when I see a bookshop. I just start buying even though I know that I have to carry them with me where ever I go...
  9. Right now I have my books in a Woolworths Chiller Bag right next to my Hostel bed. That's the life of Backpacking books
  10. I've got the german edition, the english edition and the dvd at home. I like the story and the way it's told. It kinda gets you.
  11. The story sounded so good, but what the author made of it didn't met my expactations. I would have liked to know more about McCandless time in Alaska and not about whoever else. With no further diary material he couldn't write more but then, they should have put it on the book, that it's not totally about McCandless. I didn't see the movie yet, but I would like to. I guess it might be better than the book.
  12. You guys should definately read Kai Meyer (german author) books, there are a few available in english. He's just a great writer!
  13. Matilda was great! But I saw the movie before so I missed a few things that happen in the movie. That's why you should always read the book first and then watch the movie..
  14. I thought the book was quite disapointing. I love the movie so much and saw it several times before I read the book last month. That's why I prefer to read the books first and watch the movie second, it's so much better to be disapointed in the movie than in the book
  15. I'm totally into Roald Dahl right now!! Never read any of his books before and now, once I started, I can't get enough
  16. I just started to read Roald Dahl this month, I'm working at the public library here in Kununurra (Western Australia) and they have a lot of his books. I just wanted to read Charlie and the chocolate factory but it was so good that I go on reading all the other books I can lay my hands on.
  17. I really didn't like the part when Susie takes over Ruths body, that was totally stupid. It kinda ruined the whole book for me. All together it was quite boring, it started promising but than nothing else happened.
  18. Winter was ok, it had a twist I didn't expect but otherwise quite boring. My favourite is So much to tell you! Down Under was funny and informative. I like Bill Bryson's books, he writes so entertaining! I thought it was the perfect book to start my traveling year.
  19. Hey Inver, I made a reading list! All the books I've read since I'm in Australia.

  21. Hi there! I would really like to read 'Helpless'. But I'm in Australia right now, could I join nevertheless? (there might be higher postal costs for sending to the other side of the world)

  22. LOve PEace ANd HAppiness, that's my name *g*. I'e got 2 Kerouac books at home, unread. Just never gotten around to read them (Dharma Bums and Big Sur). Are those any good?

  23. We read that one at school a few years back, I found it quite disturbing, a little disgusting but also quick to read 'cause it kinda sucks you in. A very weird book...
  24. Hi there Tiger, the forum is great!! Everybody's real nice and addicted to books :D
