  1. I can't see anywhere in mine with a number (as in, your 30/100).. I wonder if they've re-released?

Mine is signed inside the front cover and it has a message from the author and also a little stamp where she has written the number. It was signed in October 2007 and has 3 photographs in a pocket in the inside back cover. Does yours have that?

  2. Oh my, I feel so bad now. I just can't go on with this book any more. I'm bored.

Initially, I was intrigued by the story and was pulled in by lovely reviews from people here and in the literary world but I just can't carry on. It's very rare that I don't finish a book, most of the time I can push myself on to the end but I've read about 150 pages and that's it. I feel I have to apologise, but I'm not sure why :)

I too struggled with this book. I did finish it in the end but I guess i didn't really get into any of the characters. I think it got better in the second half but at the end i still found it disappointing.

  3. Has anyone read any of his books?

I picked up 'Deadline' by accident in the library last week. Have never heard of the author before but the blurb on the cover sounded like a good plot so I thought i would give it a go.

Nearly 3/4's of the way through and I'm really enjoying it. It's one of them books that I don't want to put down.

Just wondered if anyone else has read anything by him and what they think.

  4. I read the Soul Catcher and Split Second a few years back now. I met the author in a bookshop and had one of the books signed (I hadn't heard of her/read her books when I had this done lol). To be honest I can't remember much about the storylines but they must have been good coz I've kept them on my bookshelf rather than passing them on!

  5. Hi, I've just joined so I thought I should introduce myself.

My name is Sharon, I'm 32 and live in County Durham with my husband of 2 years and my 1 year old daughter. I am a stay at home mum and love every minute of it! I am originally from Surrey but moved to the North East in 2000.

I love to read. My favourite types of book are horror, thriller and crime. Recently I have been reading and enjoying a lot of the Richard and Judy recommended reads.

I am a member of another forum which focuses on parenting and a section of that is for Bookworms but that has gone quiet lately hence me joining here as it looked like a nice busy and friendly place to be.

    Speak to you soon!

    Sharon :)
