Something that happened to me today. I was at an activity day for kids along with a bunch of other parents/carers (not my own kids but I look after them). I hate it when parents use this as an excuse for a meeting amongst themselves and don't even watch their kids. Quite a few times most of the children were running wild in the woodlands and not one of them got up unless the child came to them. It took a little girl falling out of a tree for a collection of mothers to actually see what their child was upto! You don't have to watch them every minute but you should know whether your child is in a tree!

I didn't want to read a new book so I decided to reread Time Traveler's Wife and I'm falling in love with it all over again

It's been a while since I read it but I'm pretty sure one of the main character in the Bodies Left Behind by Jeffery Deaver is a hitman.

I fell asleep watching Derailed the other night, so I decided to watch the DVD last night. I love this movie, I really didn't see the twist coming.

I don't read many crime/thriller novels. But of the top of my head, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I found it a bit difficult at first, to understand and keep track of what was going on, but once I got into it, I thought it was really creative and original. The mystery was good, and I didn't see it coming.

I often wander around bookshops and don't buy anything. If I have a bit of free time, I will wander around bookshops and charity shops. So if I bought a book everytime I went in I would be broke (then again, I do buy far too many books anyway).

For me, it would be two. Classics: Pride and Prejudice. An obvious choice but it was one of the first books I read and enjoyed (think I was about 13/14 and it was part of school work). More recent book: it would have to be the Time Traveler's Wife. I get a bit weepy just thinking about that book

I agree with Noll about the variety of chickens. I hate when there's only chicken and mayo or chicken salad. I love chicken tikka, or chicken and sweet chilli - where there's some kind of sauce either on the chicken or with the salad, keeping it from being too plain.
