    I think it's good that you put your reviews also in the library section so that way people who don't generally read other people's reading lists can read the reviews and write in the threads themselves and it stirs up conversation. But if I were you, I'd also put your reviews on this thread as well because it'll be nice for yourself to see what you've read over the year, and if someone finds out they have a very similar taste with you when it comes to books it'll be easier for them to follow your reading when you post your reviews on your own thread :welcome: But these are just my ideas, it's your blog so you can do whatever you want with it! :)

    Exactly!! :) I mean do you really need this advise, it's your field of expertise... :welcome::) Poor Ivana, she did seem a bit disappointed when she found out.

    They're entering the gala room now, I'm glad there's a party. And a chocolate fountain, how decadent!!

    Exactly, I'm laughing my arse off, I've just watched that bit :welcome: BB was like "do you think you should compose yourself before you leave the diary room" :) Oh boy Steph was having it hard when Ivana came to hug her, I bet she was soooo close to start laughing :)

    Oh my that's such a mean thing =// I'd hate be to a housemate and spoil it for her and be rude without arousing her suspicions. But I have to admit it's pretty clever from BB. Jonas is enjoying this too much :welcome: It was nice to hear Swedish though.

    I see your point about approaching the lesser version first, my only concern would be discovering the plot through a more poorly executed medium and having that spoil the impact of the movie. But either way, there's positives and negatives, so do whichever you think would suit you best. I wouldn't be entirely sure, myself.

     

    Ah, that's a fair point. Why did you have to come up with that and confuse me :welcome: Well, I think I'll just go for the book first since I have it and don't have the movie.

     

    Now that I'm thinking about it and have read the blurb, I have this vague idea that I've tried watching the movie ages ago, and didn't fancy it that much. But I think I didn't start watching it from the beginning, I just saw little snippets of it.

    No-one's out yet Frankie ;) Word of warning - you get to see Alex almost completely naked except for a towel covering the front!!!!! And that situation involves Jonas

     

    :) oh boy!! Does this also involve Stephanie covering her eyes and cringing?? :) Can't wait to see the episode, I just love this show :welcome:

     

    Edit: Oh I just adore Nicola!! She's in the diaryroom talking about Stephanie and how Steph was teaching her how to say 'pale' :( So funny!

    I think I'd read the book first, since the movie is so great. If I watch the movie first, I'll think the book'll be amazing and none of us knows what it's like. The book is only 166 pages long so it wouldn't be a huge effort and waste of my time to try and read it. Just read a little snippet of it and it seemed decent.

    Well, I'd watch the movie FIRST at least, but there might not be... too much harm... in reading it?

     

    Of course I haven't heard you talking in real life but I can just hear it in my head what kind of nervous, sort of semi mock-optimistic tone you'd say that in :welcome:

    Hi, I'm 'some people' :welcome: I didn't know there was a book either, is the film based on it or the other way around?

     

    Yeah I remember you were one of the some people :) I've just checked and it's a novel by N. H. Kleinbaum and unfortunately it's based on the motion picture :) I thought it would be the real thing :(

    Don't worry, I didn't either :) And I haven't even watched the movie. I just read that some people on here have really enjoyed the movie and I just happened to see the book in the library and figured I'd give it a go :)

    Book 7. Psycho II by Robert Bloch

     

    Norman's baa-ack... And with vengeance. He's sick of being a prisoner in a mental institution and dreams about freedom. An opportunity raises its head when he receives an unexpected visitor. What happens then? You'll never guess.

     

    I read the first Psycho novel not long ago and enjoyed it to my utter surprise (4/5). I figured the sequel couldn't be that bad and I was right, it was very readable, and very creepy. I went to the library today and kept looking over my shoulders for old mamma's boy bachelors. Not as good as the first book, but worth an effort to those who enjoy these kinds of books. 3/5.

    I had a very pleasant trip to the library today. I gave away my copy of Psycho II and Lady, My Life as a Bitch, and found this tiny little beautiful edition of Poems of Alexander Pope. Since it was free and pretty, and I've been meaning to give poetry a go, I snatched it :)

     

    Then I got a copy of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (hate that title, it should be Men Who Hate Women as it is in Swedish and Finnish)! Also got Macbeth, Pygmalion and A Streetcar Named Desire (all plays on Rory's List), Flowers For Algernon (Rory's List again) and Dead Poets Society. All quite short books!

     

    Currently reading Anastasia Has the Answers which is the 6th book in the Anastasia series by Lois Lowry. I haven't read this one before but all the familiar characters are there, Anastasia hasn't aged or changed one bit and it just feels like I'm a preteen again :welcome: It's the best feeling.

    Finished Psycho II and started Anastasia Has the Answers by Lois Lowry (it's like going home <3).

     

    I just got a text from the library saying that the Stieg Larsson book I reserved has arrived. I hoped it would come fast but didn't really think it would arrive this fast! Blimey, now I may have to actually go there and get it. Might get Macbeth while I'm on it as well. Will also put Psycho II and Lady, My Life as a Bitch in the free book recycle trolley, generous me.

    I think Doorman is a funny name too, I love how devoted he is to the dog, I think it's a nice trait to have :D I really hope you like it Frankie if you manage to get ahold of it!

     

    Awww, that's the kind of thing I wanted to hear! :D Never trust a man who doesn't like animals, they say. And a man who's particularly fond of animals is a keeper :)

     

    He has one called 'Getting The Girl' as well and has another scheduled for release next year called 'The Bridge Of Clay' :)

     

    Oh I'd totally forgotten about that! Weave's read it I think, and if I'm not mistaken she enjoyed it as well :)

    I think he's like a lost puppy, he'd be happy to have someone who'd lead him (on). He seems like a really sweet guy though :) (His showing off with his body makes me annoyed though, personally I'd prefer someone with a normal body.

     

    Which reminds me of Dane who was too selfconscious to do the Hunk off in a mankini. I mean, who wouldn't be, but he seemed to be really selfconscious about his body, and I think his body's just fine?
