  1. Scoop, glad to have you join us I so jealous, you have a whole season you haven't seen before! I started watching the series right from the start a couple of months ago but for some reason stopped watching it and now I'm thinking I should start watching it again, from the start.
  2. Welcome on board Scoopalicious I have a feeling you'll fit right in here with all the other booklovers and obsessed book buyers on here You've certainly come to the right place. Although I must warn you, you're TBR pile will only grow and grow because of all the great recommendations you'll get in here I noticed you in the Gilmore threads, nice to have you join us fans
  3. I know what you mean; the writing is amazing but the other stuff, can you think of it as enjoying something? My personal problem was Perks of Being a Wallflower was a really amazing read and it's made me want to re-read the book it always referred to, I've forgotten the name. It was so good I wouldn't mind re-reading it as a group-reading. Ooshie, I've haven't yet researched whether the local library has the book or not, I'll look into it Here here! Edit: Abby! I'll post my -/5 when I'm less drunkish
  4. Hi Abby, how've you been? I've just come to Joensuu and have my own lovely laptop again <3 Parents move was okay, pretty stressing for the first couple of days but Thursday was good and it was nice to hear them say they couldn't have managed it without me :)

Do you guys celebrate Midsummer in the US? Over here it's quite big, especially Midsummer Eve. Lots of bonfires, people going to their summer cottages, BBQ and all that (a little drinking as well ;))... Very lovely! And like I told Kylie, it's so light now that I can read without having any light on all night through if I want! :D That's Finnish midsummer for you! I'm soon off to meet with friends, to have a liquid picnic (;)) and to play m

  5. Kell, that's a great idea and those models you made are simply fantastic, I love the colours! I wonder how they stay on, though? Won't they slid off easily?
  6. I know the shows are edited and only if you watch live feed can you really get an insight as to what the people are really like. I've had live feed on the Finnish BBs and it does make a difference. If the producers want to portray someone in a certain light they are sometimes able to do it with editing. Argh I really wish I could watch the show
  7. Do you have live feed? I have no such perks so I'll only have the few episodes I've seen to rely on, and my intuition about people. I could be wrong of course, but so far she's given me nothing to doubt her authenticity. It would suck huge ass if I were to find out she fakes it.
  8. I've liked Corin since the first time I saw her. Although I do agree that you'd think that she might be in just to get famous and pull a Katie Price. But she's such a lovely and warm character and she makes me laugh all the time! Only problem I have with her is that half the time I don't understand what she's saying, she has a really strong accent and speaks so fast Govan is such a drama queen, he likes talking about people behind their back and all that. But I do like him for being so emotional when Rachael was kicked out, it means that he cares about people, too. I haven't watched any episodes since last Sunday and I'm aching to see further episodes
  9. I'm having pizza and a Long Drink Grape Fruit, but only because it's Midsummer Eve
  10. Pps. To give you an idea of how light the Finnish midsummer is, I can tell you that this week I've been able to read without any lights on, all night through (can't have any thick curtains infront of the window, of course). :D I love Finnish summer!!

  11. Hi Kylie! I'm back for good, it's so nice to be back and get a chance to talk to you guys finally. I've missed you lot  How have you been, and have I missed anything? I had a couple of stressful days with the parents moving, I felt like I did everything wrong and was only in the way. But the last night when we were finally almost all settled in and were going to sleep in the new house for the first time, my Dad said that they would never have pulled it off without my help. And my Mum called me a 'slave driver' (?) but only in a positive way and I took it as a compliment because I was aiming to mean business and get it done as fast as possible :) I just came back to Joensuu and now I'm getting ready for 'juhannus', Midsummer :) It's Midsummer Eve today and it's a big thing here in Finland (you can google it if you're curious). I'll be pretty occupied today but I'm hoping to get into the BCF mode tomorrow :D

  12. I'm still reading The Dirt by M
  13. Holy hell, did I miss your Birthday yesterday? I'm sorry hun! Happy belated Bday my dear friend

  14. I'm so glad to hear you're catching up, Lucy As for me, I'm quite busy this week helping my parents with their move to their new house so I'm not up for any group reading this week, but if you guys decide on something I'll like I'll catch up with you guys next week! Haha, it's a really impressive list isn't it Glad to have you on board, there are a lot of amazing reads and if you feel like it, do follow which books we are thinking about reading on this thread and join the reading group! Edit: I'd like to try and read LotR this summer and if anyone's up for that I'd be glad to have other people joining in!
  15. I've been watching some of the previous episodes last weekend, my friend is totally UK BB obsessed and she has the episodes and let me watch. I'm quite liking it. My favorites are Corinne, Ben, John James (although he needs to learn a few lessons about when to just shut up). Iffy is totally invisible, and I really dislike Shabby and therefore their whole group of girls. She should've gone and not Rachael.

    World Cup 2010

I've gotta say this, I've always hated football but now that I'm going to the gym, they always have the matches on playing on the telly, and I've started wathing them there in the gym and sometimes at home too. I'm embarrassed. I don't have any favorite teams or countries to support (as you all know Finland's not doing that great in football......) but I loved it when Mexico was kicking the ass of the French. Personally, I'd be really interested to hear how the forum was started and how "uninternational" it was back in the days and how it's evolved since then.
  17. 100 Hits of the 90s on Spotify

  19. Switched to Wu-Tang Clan
  20. Haha, thanks Echo! Helsinki Pride 2010 is in two weeks and I can't go there after all so I thought I'd support the cause by choosing rainbow-themed avatars on here
  21. Ouch, that sounds painful! Are you going to the dentist? I hope you get it sorted out soon How are you liking Possession? I tried reading it in English and I felt like my brain was on overload. I do like the sound of the book though, I'm determined to read it at some point.
