  1. Roxi, is it pasta!! And *hands bethany a cookie*
  2. Just had chicken and new potatoes in a creamy sauce. Served up with carrots and sweetcorn. Wasn't to shabby!
  3. Agreed.
  4. I'm always significantly lacking in confidence to talk to people. I'm quiet at school, and I get the feeling most people don't like me.. I don't really care though. I love this place; it's somewhere I can just interact with others and I'm sure that I would get on ok with some of you in real life.

    Tennis

I'm sorry right, but I don't like Andy Murry. He says he is Scottish when he's winning and British when he's losing. What kind of attitude is that? Don't get me wrong I can watch him play and silently hope he wins.
  6. I don't, but I'm going to add it to my bookmarks for future reference.
  7. Ah then you'll love this! I wrote a review a bit further down the page.

    Favourite sports?

Reading books should be a sport, then we would all be gold medal winners.
  9. Quite a big TBR list! Like a lot of people on here, hope you get through some good reads.
  10. Well I don't know about that, but the DiscWorld novels sound good. I'll look into Nation. The bartimeaus trilogy is very good. Mine need a re-read as well.
  11. Thank you Michelle. I'm looking into the Discoworld novels, because they look good. As for Jonathan I've read the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I enjoyed it quite a lot!

    Favourite sports?

Football, and I'm a pro at table tennis, if I do say so myself.
  13. Because it makes me want to eat them, aha. I'm off to read now anyway.
  14. Don't post pictures!!!
  15. If I could've guessed what you would be having, it would of been that funny enough! And get that essay finished, this break has extended far enough!
  16. Good interview Michelle!
  17. For a few weeks each summer, the sky over Kyralia cleared to a harsh blue and the sun beat down restlessly. The Novice - Trudi Canavan.
  18. When we were given our guide on possible reading material for English lit at 6th form, it included a fair few classics like Wuthering Heights, and Jayne Eyre. I think now that I know I'm going to be taking it, I might get ahead with some of the possible reading material. Because if it comes up I'll be better off, and if it doesn't then I will have had some good reads anyway.
  19. You could just be having an off month or so! Try again with a style of writing that you know you like. Or even re-read a book you love to get your appetite back.
  20. I had beans on toast. Step-dad had to pick my mum up from the eye clinic so he didn't have time to make much for me before I went to my guitar lesson.
  21. I have to admit that I've very over-protective of my books, a bit like Elinor in Inkheart. But that being said, I know there a few individuals who I can trust with books they want to borrow. I know this because they've lent me books, and I've returned them in good condition. So I know that they will return them in good care.
  22. Your quotes keep getting lost in and amongst these lunatics. *Whistles to self quietly.* I deal with it ok, I guess. I've just not really stopped to think about it from the off. It's like when I first started taking insulin they asked me if I wanted to practice on an orange. I was like "No, it's not the orange that needs to lower it's blood-sugar now, is it." Then just went and stuck the needle in my leg! (I didn't really like needles at the time.) I sounded really patronising and it shocked them a little bit, they were like, um, ok. Thankfully though I've been getting brilliant blood-sugars and averages, so I haven't had any major worries yet. Although they say my body could be producing some insulin because we caught it early.
  23. I don't know what it is about The Hobbit, it's just it doesn't manage to grab my attention, and it's not even that bad!
  24. I'm disappointed with myself, I've attempted to read The Hobbit numerous times. I'll try again and this time really try, some time later in the year.
  25. Starting The Novice when I get back from my guitar 'lesson' at about 9pm. Can't wait.
