Oh way to ruin the story.. :| Not that anyone wanted to read it or anything.. use spoiler tags next time please.

It's a shame to see people that didn't enjoy it enough to read the next one. I thought Inkheart was brilliant, and I will be getting the sequel soon.

Wow! 0/10, Kell. That must be a record low. Sounds like the England cricket team of the literary world ....
I just laughed out loud. ^^ That's so right. Shame you couldn't get into it Kell, but at least you know there's a lot more to choose from.

I was a late-comer to Potter-mania & only picked them up in the last third of last year, but I really enjoyed them. Am now desperate for the final installment to come out & can hardly wait for the 5th film!
Aha, because this was so long ago Kell we can now ask what your thought of Deathly Hallows.
Oh, and the Order Of The Phoenix - the fifth film.

Isn't James Patterson the one who has writers helping him?
Yes Michelle, on Fantastic Fiction it lists all the novels he's wrote. But a lot of them have other authors in brackets so I'm assuming he's been helped by them.

I agree with that Eddie, it's different for me though. Both my parents never read, and I got into reading from a young age.

Also starting the last book Ptolemy's Gate.

Finished The Golem's Eye.
I was very impressed with this book, after deciding to start re-reading the trilogy. This is the second explosive adventure that Jonathan Stroud weaves amongst the pages. It's very fast-paced, with lots of action that seems to kick off everywhere, much like the first book of the series The Amulet Of Samarkand.
I enjoy the plot in these novels, as you find yourself whisked away by the brilliant writing style of Jonathan. From the demons to the magicians that en-slave them, back to the commoners that walk the streets, each character has a different story to tell. Kitty's, Nathanie'sl, and Bartimaeus' life's cross each other in this, the second in the trilogy, and they cross in explosive fasion.
A mysterious being destroys the streets of London. Can it's source of power be un-covered and brought to attention in time? Read this brilliant book to find out for yourselves.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend to anyone who loves a good fantasy read.
Make sure you read The Amulet Of Samarkand, the first in the series, before plunging into the second adventure.
9/10.

I'm not one of those over the top Twilight fans, meaning the one's obsessed with the characters. But yes, I did enjoy the plot.
I don't think I have a favourite. I enjoyed Breaking Dawn, and unlike a lot of people enjoyed the end to the entire series.

YES! I was looking amongst my book-shelves and I noticed a book-mark in one of the books. I'm so glad! I thought I had one lying around. It's not bad either, a decent harry potter one.

Ahhh, the temptations to go buy this! In fact, what the hey.. I might just do that.
-
I'm tempted to do a door-step challenge because most of the books I'm reading anyway are over 500 pages.
Anyway, happy reading!

Hey nice to meet you Claire, welcome to the forum. I see you're reading New Moon, how are you enjoying the series so far?

"The assassins dropped into the palace grounds at midnight, four fleet shadows dark against the wall." - Ptolemy's Gate. - Jonathan Stroud.

Generally I love this genre of book but I absolutly hated Artimus Fowl, I had to read it for a school book challenge and I found it very hard to finish. I think perhaps its the style of writing I don't like I've read other books written by him (mister monday) and I found that I didn't enjoy them either.
It's a shame you didn't like them. I think your getting a little confused though, Eoin Colfer wrote Artemis Fowl. Garth Nix wrote Mister Monday. (Keys to the kingdom.)?
