  1. Good review Kate, I remember enjoying this when I read it last year. Maybe it's time for a re-read at some point.
  2. Well done Kate, and thanks to Kell for organising the events for yesterday.
  3. That would be a resounding no.
  4. Ben

    Happy birthday! :) xx

  5. Woop.
  6. OMG SHE ACTUALLY DID IT! That's amazing! Congratulations!
  7. The Healer's name was Fords Deep Waters. The Host. - Stephenie Meyer.
  8. Great review Kate.
  9. Wasn't the price-tag because the proceeds go to charity, or is that just me.. Anyway, I think you're probably right in your little review Charm. The comment's frmo Dumbledore have to be still the best bits of the book for me.
  10. Kate, update your signature.
  11. Ok, I'm going with The Host. And I may dip into Perfume if I'm not enjoying The Host. Sounds like a solution to me. Synopsis from the back of the book. Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. Wander, the invading 'soul' who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human; the overwhelming emotions, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind. Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves--Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love. Looking forward to this, although not sure when I can start.
  12. Yeah, nothing brilliant. Then again I enjoyed doing the coursework on it, because I can just look at the book in my own perspective.
  13. I've got a funny story to tell everyone. We was at school yesterday and George decided that me and him should try the lift, because I'm quite light. Someone set up and recorded it and needless to say it didn't go brilliantly. It was hilarious though; the attempted failed drastically, with me sort of just jumping at him. Lol, was only part one!
  14. Now that does sound delicious.
  15. I know, that was pretty surprising. Although, there's some reason for it I'm sure.. I'm still convinced Ben isn't bad for some reason. It's very different, I'm liking how everything is linking together. Glad you're enjoying it Michelle, me too.
  16. Will be starting a new book when I get home, really not sure what though. I'm reluctant to start The Host, because I've heard mixed opinions. Perfume is a possibility. Meh, I'm going, I'll decide when I get home!
  17. Ah I see what you mean, like the others I loved them bits, but can understand why some people might not.
  18. I think you probably summed that up actually Kylie. I'm not sure though, there was something about it that I did enjoy. When I've got the time to review I guess I'll try collect all my thoughts into something that's not an incoherent ramble.
  19. Have been missing it.. sounds interesting tho.
  20. Finished. - The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho. Review. (Coming shortly) Hmm, still not sure about this, it wasn't bad, and it wasn't brilliant. Sometimes it was hard to get into, but then once I was into it I found it quite enjoyable. Not sure.. Those that have read it, what made you like/dislike it?
  21. Mm, we had this thing, had potatoes, cheese, mushrooms, bacon, and this creamy sauce! ;o Was lovely.
  22. Sorry for the double post, but I'm surprised no-one's posted after Sunday nights episode! Anyone watch?
  23. I thought about that, would be interesting..
  24. Not a problem.
