  1. Congratulations on 100 books! I was aiming for 100 as well, but unfortunately I didn't anticipate how hampared my reading would be, by work. I haven't even reached 50.. although we do have a couple of months left.
  2. Bedtime is when I get the most time, but it's not necessarily my favourite. I can read whenever!
  3. Hey Rachel, welcome to the forum! It's great here, I'm sure you'll love it. Let me know what you think of Life Expectancy, as it's on my TBR pile.

    hi

Hello and welcome, you're definitely in the right place for new recommendations on what to read next! I suggest just browsing the forums, either by genre if you're looking for specifics, or just generally, you'll be sure to find some good novels either way! Welcome again, look forward to seeing you around.
  5. Hello and welcome, forgive me for not introducing myself so far! I'm sure you'll love it here, you're certainly in the right place.
  6. Alex Rider series, of course how could I forget to mention them! Still going strong and a new one out soon.
  7. You all should have read today's TV magazine, it give it away ages ago. I found out this morning.
  8. Okay now you all know you can go back to my first post.
  9. I think it's going to be Darren.
  10. Not a problem. Hope everything is well and good with you. :friends0:

  11. Well Mum said she'd read it on the front page of the TV magazine, but I'm not sure if it's 100%. She said it shows him holding it, but I'm guessing that doesn't necessarily mean it's his.
  12. It's Darren.
  13. Oh, whereabouts are you from? If you don't mind me asking.

League or Union? Ah well the team's are a couple of leagues apart so we have no need to argue, haha. Plus, I'm not a typical MUFC fan.

Indeed we should.. Go on then, I'll bite, which football team you support then? Even if we are infact putting our sporting indifferences aside. :P

  16. Just wanted to make a comment on these two books. Firstly I haven't read The Godfather but I, like many others on here, recommend the films! They're fantastic and a must-see in my opinion. Secondly, The Book Thief was one of my favourite books this year, delightfully written and such a sad book like you say. I do rarely cry whilst reading but this one successfully managed to make me weep like a baby.
  17. Have both of those books on my TBR; A Thousand Splendid Suns and Monstrous Regiment. Have been wanting to read both for a while now, might push them up a smidge thanks to you good comments.
  18. Kristen Stewert is certainly not Max, that'd put me off watching that film, completely. Which is a shame because I love the novels.
  19. Completely agree with everything you have both said. I do hope that those that are voting for the BNP are doing it just out of dissatisfaction with the other parties and realise what a crafty, compulsive liar Nick Griffin is.
  20. I can imagine that's something that I would've done - if I hadn't noticed what leaflet I was being handed - that, or dropped it in the nearest bin. Let me know what you think..
  21. Thank you. I think it was something to do with the BNP gaining seats in parliament earlier this year; it meant that the BBC had them a place on the show, because they have rules about the show having to contain a representative from every party with seats. Or it's something a long those lines anyway.. And it will be you and many avoiding the town centre on that day.
  22. Anyone watch the show last night? Was controversial due to them allowing the BNP's Nick Griffin on the programme. I for one found it interesting to watch him squirm and wiggle his way around questions, being evasive in his answers. I especially liked the part where he couldn't explain why he had changed his views on the Holocaust and the part where he admitted to meeting a former KKK leader, but it was a non-violent KKK, so that made it alright. Bit shocking to say the least from a Cambridge Law graduate. Though I have to say I did enjoy watching Jack Straw try squirm his way out of the immigration question; his defence of Labour's immigration failings was quite unconvincing. What were your thoughts?
  23. That should be interesting. I imagine it will be another book to film adaptation that I will be disappointed with.
  24. I'm with the book fiend on this one. Absolutely love this series.
