I would like to apologize for bring up such an old topic, but I find this man so interesting. He is a true inspiration to me and I love his works. Those pictures posted on this thread really really neat.
I found this video about the 'Innocent Man' and I would just like to share it:
I find his voice so cool. I would love to talk to this man.

On average how many pages do you read a day?
I know some people are able to get through books in one sitting, something I have never done.
I try to savor the book and I read maybe twenty to thirty pages a day. I am so busy and finding the time to read is hard for me.

Yummers. I have a really big sweet tooth. I have to watch what I eat tho I'm on a strick diet for my trianing. I find its so hard right now so close to Halloween. I find myself munching on those little bite sized treats

It's my favourite soap - strong on both characterisation and humour.
That is very true. I find it addiciting. The story lines seem to draw you in. Right now on 'The Street' I'm almost positive Tracy is going to do something to Charlie.

Last night I was just lost in this book. His writing is so good. I read 100 pages yesterday. I have been reading for years, I can't believe I have never picked up one of his works.

My goal would be to one day have my very own room just for books and reading. I'll line the walls with bookshelves and in a cozy corner i'll put a big cozy chair
That would be my dream reading room

Where does everyone keep their books? Is it in the study? A fancy room? Bedroom?

For the last year I have promised myself to buy a new shelf, but instead I buy more books

Our Christmas dinner, which my parents host each year, is like this:
Prime Rib
Mashed Potato Casserole
Spinach Salad
Pureed Potato Soup from the night before
those bake and serve dinner rolls
Cranberry sauce from the can
The prime rib is the main attraction, and they start cooking as soon as we're done with the gifts in the morning.
Since it usually weighs about 14 pounds or so, it takes all day to cook!
Prime Rib is very good. It melts in your mouth, very tender

Adam you have good taste in soaps:lol: I hadn't realised it was broadcast in Canada - are you at the same point as us?
LOL yeah. It is really big here in Canada. It is broadcast on the CBC network in prime time! Unfortunetly we are not at the same point. We are a few months behind.

Welcome Adam, you sound a great fella. What made you decide to go into the fire service? Apologies if I am being nosy:blush:
LOL, not by any means. When I was in high school I did a lot of volunteer work and I enjoy helping people. I find it very rewarding to help make a difference in a community. A fireman and a paramedic help those in need and I find that very rewarding and exciting and I am up for the challenge. Right now I am taking a few medical courses at the local college and training to get into the best possible shape. Next summer I write my test to enter the fire service so I hope everything goes good!
And thank you to everyone for all the warm welcomes. This place feels like a nice tight community

Adam, if you're enjoying King's work, you might like to check out our reading circle section - a bunch of us are currently tackling The Stand (which is EXCELLENT) and a little while back, some read The Shining too - you can always add your thoughts as we leave the threads permanently open.
Thank you for that info. I will definetly look into those books

LOL, I hate lending books out because I know i'll never get them back. Books are the one thing that never get returned. As far as condition goes I crack the spines of my books. I think it gives them character
