  1. I did controlled releases the other week onece I found how to do it. Today I registered some book that I had forgot about and three new ones I got last week. I quite like the new site but it had been updated for a wee while before I found out about it so may the cliches have been sorted lets hope soo.

  2. Up here in my part of Scotland we have a programe called "The Hour" one of the guests tonight was Jeffery Deaver. He was so funny and told us about how he wrote his books and how he could leave them for us to read and concetrate on his next book. It was a brillient few minutes I really enjoyed it he is appearing in Waterstones in Suchiehall Street tonight in Glasgow.

  3. Thank you Michelle for all your hard work and Abby and Kell for organising and creating these lovely avatars. :friends3:

Love the new site and all the new avatars thanks for all of your hard work :D

  4. I just like to read the book and so does my boss. So we can't vote as there is nothing there for us. If we we in the middle of a really exciting book theres no way it's gonna get put down to take note of a worb or even look it up in the dictionary. No way are we going to stop and lose the way of what is happening in the story. We like to carry on reading until we can put the book down. Sorry people but I can't take part in yourpoll as much as I would love too.

  5. I voted "yes" to them being banned although it has to do with the country but ...... these things sounds like a swarm of bees which in my opinion is worse that the normal football noise.

  6. I read both these books many years ago and was not very keen on it but I read the books like a good little girl as my mum had got me the books. I also watched the films and was not impressed just confirmed what I thought about the books. Hard going and a load of rubbish.

Do you consider these books to be an adult's view of childhood, or a child's view of adulthood?

In the era that these books were written Alice was brought up in a well money background so she would think both of these ways.

If the Caterpillar from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland were to give advice to Tweedledee and Tweedledum from Through the Looking-Glass on how to solve their differences without having "a bit of a fight," what might the Caterpillar advise?

Lose weight  if they were busy concertrating on losing weight they wouldn't have time for "a bit of a fight," as they say.

When I read a book it is for the author and story along with the charecters not if there are any hidden meanings or messages.
