Welcome to the forum, Raingirl! Ireland is the one place I desperately want to go. By parents recently visited Dublin and Co. Kerry and they loved it.

I'm probably going to have my favorite organic tomato soup. I always melt in some cheddar cheese and top it with croutons. The croutons get all soft and melty! Sooooo good.

Since I usually have two or more books going at once, it's no problem for me to go from one book to another. I also do a lot of re-reading, so I don't have to really digest a lot of the books I read...I've already read them!

Welcome to the forum, and welcome back to reading!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I sent out the flier I made last week to my new library system (I moved counties). My old library was happy to display it, so I hope the new one will, too. It would be great to get it displayed in the Tacoma Main Branch, which gets hundreds of visitors every day!

I also loved Bleak House, but David Copperfield remains my all-time favorite. We didn't read any Dickens at school. In fact, practically the only pre-20th century writer we read was Shakespeare!

I haven't read A Tale of Two Cities, but my boyfriend has and he loved it. It's high on my list. I've read:
David Copperfield (I'm re-reading it now...loved it)
Oliver Twist (loved it)
Nicolas Nickleby (loved it....so funny!)
Great Expectations (didn't like it)
Dombey and Son (very good)
A Christmas Carol (wonderful)
I tried reading Martin Chuzzlewit a while back, and couldn't get into it.

This is hard, but I'll try!
Favourite band: Aerosmith
Favourite singer: Steven Tyler
Favourite song: Of all time? Wow...probably "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult
Favourite album: "Superunknown" by Soundgarden
Least favourite band: Um...probably one of the new ones that teenagers listen to.
Least favourite singer: Britney Spears. She's just not very talented.
Least favourite song: Anything by The Pussycat Dolls
Least favourite album: I wouldn't know...if I hated any songs from it, I wouldn't have listened to them all!

Thanks, Judy! I read this for one of my classes, and I really loved it. Once school is over, I look forward to reading more of Zola's books.

How awful! I didn't even know he was sick, and he was so young! I loved his books.

I always get a little sad after finishing a book, because I tend to get involved with the story and the characters.

I happen to be a very picky eater, so there's a lot I haven't tried. Here are some: sushi, most kinds of fish, asparagus, brussles sprouts, clam chowder, any animal organs (like liver, hearts, things like that), mushrooms, snails, oysters...those are just some of them.

I have to read this book this week for a history class, and I'm very encouraged! People really seem to like it! I'll let you all know what I thought of it when I finish it.
