I have just spent three very enjoyable weeks in Ontario, Canada. I did sneak a look at a few book shops, but didnt recognise any authors. It made me wonder if any English authors (apart from the classics) get bought in Canada. Would love to know.

Billy Elliot was fabulous I cant wait to see it again. I saw it in 2005 as a birthday surprise from my husband.

I hope this is where I say hello to everyone. I am a 71 year old grandmother and ventured on to this site following a recommendation by my daughter. I am a regular reader and have a fairly eclectic taste ranging from murder mysteries, thrillers and adventures, to historical, classics, biography and craft books. I am sure I have left loads out. I read fairly quickly. Have just discovered Douglas Kennedy, whose books I cant get enough of at the moment. I have also just got into Anita Shreve with "The Pilot's Wife".

Hi there, I am new to BCF and you all sound a great crowd. Have any of you read "Cell" by Stephen King? I caught an excerpt in a newspaper when it first came out and found it rivetting, but I have never got round to actually getting the book. Never read Stephen King before.
How did you find the forum?
