I haven't been on for a while but I have been loitering in a non creepy way!
Got back into reading and it is really helping my insomnia! Trying to read more physical books then kindle books so my daughter who is 6 knows I am reading and not just playing on my kindle! Besides I get to read all the ace kids books with her!
It's good to have some escapism as I have started a new job which is full on and I look after my dad with Alzheimer's too

I like them when I am in the mood for an easy read without some adventure, or a bit of a thriller

I find people who are being the most vitriolic are those who have not yet read but deem themselves too intelligent to read it or better than the book.

Got this from the library and read it in one night I could not stop reading it, even though I had packing for my hols and a cardigan to finish knitting!
I loved it and I cried and laughed like others did too, I really want to read more of her books.

I used to be a member here but I have not been on for a couple of years actually nearer 3 I know as I now have a beautiful daughter aged 2 1/2!
Which is the reason I stopped reading as much I found it really hard to concentrate to read when I was pregnant and I am only now getting back into it.
But my daughter loves books and reading and I am wanting to read more than "Barry the fish with fingers"
I am really pleased my username was still valid!

I love Jane Eyre and i am going to reading Wuthering Heights soon. I grew up around Haworth.
My dad hates the book due to the fact that he has had to rescue a couple of people dressed up in cloaks having a 'Cathy' moment from the Moors!!!!

I heard baaaaaaaaaaad things about the movie. But I'll give the book a go. Although not right now, I have a reading list to wade through
I loved the movie not because of the plot or the acting beacuse of Gerard Butler (300), Soike from Buffy and Denny from Greys anatomy alot of eyecandy!!!
I have ordered PS I Love You from the library i am a blood and gore person who hated chick lit but i read Marian Keyes so i am reading a bit more fluff inamongst the blood gore and classics!!

You could start with one of the first books in either of the series the Duke de Richleau are more supernatural or one of the stand alone novels such as the haunting of Toby Jugg, the satanist, the Ka of Gifford Hilary.

I don't think it really matters which one you start with Charm. They are all good. The Ka of Gifford Hillary is also a Black Magic one. If you google his bibliography you should be able to get the list in written order though.

You try reading a book with a goats head with convorting semi naked ladies on the cover in a public place like a bus without getting some funny looks
Theye are some stand alone books and some series too i think that website has them grouped.
I have some duplicates i think!! If anybody would like them let me know

I read 'The Haunting of Toby Jugg' which I really enjoyed and I just bought 'The Devil Rides out', I am looking forward to reading it. I really enjoyed 'The Haunting of Toby Jugg', such a great story

You should try the House of Lost Souls by FG Cottam. He has made Dennis Wheatley one of the characters in the novel- its not very flattering!
I read this book and i wouldn't recommend it

I love the haunting of Toby Jugg and i have a lot of Dennis Whaetleys books but i found the Haunted Airman rubbish and was very disappointed in it.
I think the book is more scarey though.

I read This charming Man in June while I was in Canada & I HATED it! The story is great, but the telling of the story is what drove me absolutely crazy! Such a great idea for a book, but I thought that it was terribly done (without giving anything away). Marian Keyes usually does so much better!
I loved the way it was written, i found it made it alot funnier

Watching TV vegged out with my lurchers, knitting and crochet, smash with sweetcorn, trashy horror supernatural romance books they are pap but i love em, real power ballads by rock bands esp. ones from the 1980's and 1990's
