  1. Both of those books were in The Works over Christmas and dropped hints at my mum and what did I get? The Beano annual:lol: as a joke.
  2. Ha ha, busted:blush: Yeah, I have watched the film literally dozens of times.
  3. One of the Lucy Daniels was my Children's Literature tutor at Uni. We had to interview a children's author for an assignment and one of my friends interviewed her, which I thought was quite brave seeing as she would be marking it.
  4. I've never read either of these but have them both on video (because of them featurring Kenneth Branagh), I keep promising myself I will read them one day.
  5. One child went around our staff room and I read the follow up Tiger's Child, but I found it went over lots of the same ground, and actually found it hard going. I might try some of her others in the futire when my TBR pile has diminished slightly.
  6. Mr Tumnus - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the first character I really loved. Benedick - Much Ado About Nothing, for his wit, charm (or lack or it) and intelligence Hamlet - I fell in love with him as a moody teenager BFG -how I wish I spoke like him when I was a kid! Dobby the House Elf - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets There are others I am sure, but these are straight from the top of my head. All this talk of Nights at the Circus is making me want to read it again. I remember enjoying it when I read it for A level, but can't remember much about it now.
  7. I enjoy South Yorkshire authors, mainly because you can often relate to the settings. When I was younger I particularly used to like Berlie Doherty. One of my favourites is Granny was a Buffer Girl as many of the stories within the book reminded me of the stories my Nan used to tell me about people she knew. Also, when doing my GCSE's our class were asked to give our opinions on Dear Nobody before it was published, so I like to think I have helped Doherty's career in some small way lol. BTW Kell I love the LoG reference:D
  8. Birthday: 21st September Age: 32 Starsign: Virgo Single/Married/Other? Single (but looking:blush:) Children? 52 - in my class, none of my own Where do you live? Sheffield Do you work? I'm a nursery teacher, but I hope to go to "big school" in September Favourite author? Kathy Reichs Favourite book? I wouldn't say I have a particular favourite, the book I've read the most would be The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe How did you get here? I followed Janet's (bagpuss) link on Neighboursfans.com
