Thanks Lexie, you are welcome to my copy

Thank you!

My copy of The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff arrived today, I was pleasantly surprised because I had forgotten I had ordered it.

Hi Kylie
I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on the Haruki Murakami books
Happy reading for the year
-
Wow Charm, you are very organised!
Happy reading for the year

I am reading 'Unwind' by Neal Shusterman, which is a bit weird but I am enjoying it
-
Well honestly I had in mind it would be a bit smaller. Though, only a bit, maybe 20% max. But when I went to the shop they recommended a bit larger, because they said it'd turn out nicer and I'd probably regret if I'd do it that small. They were right on that advice the first time, with y other tattoo, so I took their advice this time too. Plus, must say it looks bigger on the pic than it does on my wrist really. And it will be less hard black, less, how you say, lying on top of my skin, when it's healed.. then it looks much better. Clearer.
Your new tattoo looks really good Univerze, happy new tattoo!

I guess it was true they intended to drag it out all year then, but I'm glad they're cutting it short. Sorry to see that Ronni is leaving, but unsurprised really, she's not had one happy storyline has she?!
She has, I agree hen, I'm glad they are cutting it short too, I think it would have eventually got to the point of it being too unbelievable you know?, I think Samantha Womack is taking a break and then coming back to the show, I hope they give her a positive storyline when she comes back

I think my favourite is probably Gentlemen and Players, but that's nothing like Chocolat. I haven't read the two you mention (I believe they're slightly different - Gothic, very historical...?)
I also loved Five Quarters of the Orange and Blackberry Wine, although the latter is a bit odd, being partially narrated by a bottle of wine!
Hi Janet, you are correct, 'The Evil Seed' and 'Sleep, Pale Sister' are gothic and historical, I think you would enjoy them
I will keep an eye out for the other titles, the book partially narrated by a bottle of wine, it definitely sounds different
Glad you enjoyed Chocolat, Weave. Tell me, did it give you cravings to eat chocolate when you read it?
Hi Kylie, how are you? It did give me a craving for chocolate! it was weird (and tasty)
Great review, Weave! Ditto on the film, but I must say that Mr. Depp was mighty hard not to look at
.
Thanks peacefield and hello! I agree Mr Depp does look like he has it going on in the movie poster

Welcome to the gang Arron

I loved Chocolat (hated the film though), Paula - I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I haven't read the sequel though. Have you read any of her other books?
It might win the February Reading Circle - voting ends tomorrow and it's a close run thing!
Hi Janet
I have never see the film but by the sounds of it, I am not missing much
I have read 'The Evil Seed' and 'Sleep, Pale Sister', which were both great reads, is there any other books by Joanne Harris you can recommend?

Hey no problem Paula, I can see why people wouldn't like some parts of this book, as it concentrates on some quite disturbing issues. I haven't seen this but I bet the film would relay that even more, perhaps. It shouldn't take me long to finish this one up and then maybe I'll see if I can persuade you to give it a shot. As for happy reading, thanks, same to you.
Thanks
*Ps I changed my original post because I typed 'Clockwork Angel' instead of 'Clockwork Orange'

These are the books being published this year that I can hardly wait to get my mitts on (all hardback):
[*]Kelley Armstrong - Spellbound (WotOW12) (Aug 2011)
Thanks for the heads up Kell
-
I haven't read 'A Clockwork Orange', I saw the film though and it may be the first time a film has put me off a book (I always try to read the book first), I did not like the film at all but that's just me, I will wait to read your review and maybe invest in the book, sorry that's not much help, happy reading Ben

*Just realised they are the Japanese versions! There is no English version listed. I thought this was due to come out earlier this year? (I'm sure someone had it on their "Books to look forward to in 2010" list last year!).
It might have been me Raven
it was released last year as we know but I had high hopes of the English version being released last year too.
