  2. 'Graham, its Jack.' He kept his voice down now. 'Sorry to call you so late.' 'No problem. Is everything ok?' Graham asked with concern, used to Jack's late-night calls over the past year. A place called here by Cecelia Ahern

    My Town

I really like Greenock, its a nice wee town, when we are visiting the family, we go into Greenock, they used to have a excellent book shop in the centre of the town...
  5. It sounds good, great review by the way x
  6. We all do it at one point, the deal sounds great, then you get home and its like, 'oh no....' I do like the look of hardbacks, but I prefer paperbacks, they are easier to carry, cheaper and fit in my bag, I am trying to keep my bag as small as possible this year...
  7. Enjoy your reads Michelle!
  8. I have read some of Stephen Laws books as well including Daemonic, Ghost Train, Gideon (which is my favourite), Macabre, Somewhere south of midnight and The Frighteners, which I will always remember because I was reading it on the morning I got married. I always liked the covers of his books, some of art work was really well done.
  9. Sounds good, I am taking of note of the title.
  10. I have a copy of 'Anna Karenina', I think I will add to my TBR pile...
  11. Drink as much water as you can stomach before going to bed, then cold Irn Bru in the morning, best hangover cure ever!
  12. You are welcome, glad it arrived ok...
  13. Hello... I have in total, 2 graphic novels and they are by Clive Barker, they are: The Yattering and The Jack (from the books of blood - volume one) Revelations (from the books of blood - volume four) Saint Sinner, which is a comic, I have three parts out of seven, unfortunately discontinued. I enjoyed reading all of the above. If they are written well and none of the original story is missed graphic novels can be brilliant. The artwork can be amazing, so much time and effort has went into it. You still get the essence of the story, I have to admit I was pretty skeptical when my husband gave me my copy of 'The Yattering and Jack', I am a big fan of the books of blood so I thought there was no way they could portray that story into a graphic novel but they did and I enjoyed seeing The Yattering in living colour, so to speak (it was how I had imagined him but a different colour). I think graphic novels deserve as much merit as a written novel, a lot of work goes into it. And speaking of comics, I have a fair collection of 2000AD's

  18. I finished 'Eragon' today and as mentioned, there is lot of the book which reminds you of other books, but I did enjoy the book, I liked the story, the characters were really good too, I enjoyed the fact that you could see Eragon growing up. I am reading the next part of the Inheritance trilogy, 'Eldest'...
  19. I have a couple of Stephen King books to download onto my zen, so I will let you know how they are. My dad is a big fan of audio books, he loves Dick Francis books.
