  1. Oh Babe, What Would You Say? ~ Hurricane Smith
  2. Great review Vod, I read all the books quite a few years ago now and really loved them. Other authors I thought in a similar vein were RF Delderfield and Anthony Trollope. (we have a friend Jolyon, whose mother named him after Galsworthy's character, which In NZ is quite unusual. I put her pretty high on my 'impressed' list )
  3. Yeah Sofie!! Have you got a big mess to clean up?
  4. Hey Joe ~ Jimi Hendrix
  5. Are You Going To Scarborough Fair (Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme) ~ Simon and Garfunkel
  6. Dance Away ~ Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music
  7. Wordsgood, your tiger costumes sounds fabulous, I love the swingy tail touch. If anyone was thinking suggestive things, it would purely be their dirty minds Wordsgood, A Room With a View was set in the Edwardian period. The attached thumbnail shows her clothes (just click on it and it gets bigger) I'm afraid I can't decide which one I like best, I'll just have to go with the whole wardrobe.
  8. When The Levee Breaks ~ Led Zep
  9. Summertime (When the Livin' Is Easy) ~ Ella Fitzgerald http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j6avX7ebkM
  10. Nothing from Sophie for a while Hope she's OK. Any news from your granddaughter Muggles? Does she live at home with her parents or is she on campus?

  12. I heard about that Wordsgood and there was a tsunami warning, but it was lifted, thank goodness. Talk about everything happening at once!! Hope you guys all stay safe and I'm keeping a close watch on your news
  13. I'll go with Lucy Honeychurch from EM Forster's A Room With A View (mainly because I'm such a fan of Helena Bonham Carter)
  14. It's a while since I've read this particular Bryson book so I don't feel I can answer the questions accurately, but I'm another BIG fan of his and have enjoyed all his travel books immensely. I love his tongue-in-cheek humour and at times he's made me laugh till my stomach hurt ( that ow ow ooh, I can't stop laughing, ow it hurts hysteria type laughing ) I would thoroughly recommend his books and agree with Poppyshake that they are a real tonic. In an interview Bryson said his writing should never be taken seriously, and if he did choose to write about a place, it was because he had genuine affection and admiration for it. "Most of it is good-natured teasing."
  15. Diamond Dogs ~ David Bowie
  16. You might be getting a visit from the girl in the high heels Muggles
  17. Hot August Night ~ Neil Diamond
  18. Happiness Loves Company ~ Red Hot Chili Peppers
  19. Just been listening to Nina's version, now this one of CCR's, just as good IMHO.
  20. I Put A Spell On You. Originally by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, this has been covered by so many people. But it's hard to choose between Nina Simone, CCR and Joe Cocker. This is the one I choose for a cruisy, rainy Sunday night.
  21. Shadow On The Sun ~ Audioslave
