I do too Nici, The Ladykiller was the first one of hers that I read and I've been hooked since. Before that I never touched that sort of genre (hope that is the right word for it) and now I love a good criminal read
Been a bit naughty today and ordered The Runaway by Martina Cole, it's supposed to be signed too. Now just need a copy of The Graft and I've got the lot
Finished Oryx and Crake and really enjoyed it. Before joining BCF I would never have looked at this sort of book, glad I did it was an entertaining read once I got into it.

This shouldn't have been his case. Not on his first day back. But the rest of Aberdeen's CID were either off on a training course or getting pissed at someone's retirement bash. So here was Detective Sergeant Logan McRae, heading up a major murder inquiry and praying to God he didn't screw it up before he could hand it over to someone else. Welcome back...
I have not written in my books since i was younger. In fact i have just found about half a dozen that have my name, address and telephone number in them! It doesn't matter about those because they will not be going anywhere, i have fond memories attached to them. I also have a few books that were given to me as presents from my mum that she has written a message on the inside.
I'm normally a one book gal, but at the moment i'm reading two. Only because I left my book at work the other day so I started reading another one and now I can't put either one down till they are finished!
I'm half way through Rebecca and really enjoying it. On the strength of it I have reserved a compilation of 4 D Du M books in one, Jamaica Inn, Frenchmans Creek, My Cousin Rachel and the 4th one is Rebecca.
Hello and belated welcome Maggie. The question I have for you is...
When you have finished writing your books do you have somebody who goes over it to 'prove' read it? i.e. check for grammer, punctuation and spelling. Or do you check it yourself as you go along?
I know its a bit of an odd question but it is something which intrigues me and i keep forgetting to ask!
I enjoy TVAOEL very much (I remember Caulderstone's being talked about when I was younger) and look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
I can't really add anything else to this thread that is any different. I enjoyed the book and although it took me a while to work a out the 'baby' thing I certainly did not see the ending coming.
