You are always busy...lol. What is U3A? I don't frequent Green Metropolis. I daren't join any more booky things...lol. Mostly frequent here and Bookcrossing. Have so many bookrings on the go it is ridiculous. One from here 'The Outcast' (enjoying) and one from Bookcrossing with another 3 waiting. Too many books not enough time....you know how it goes. How are the family?

You can do and set them as in your permanent collection and then you have something on your bookshelf to maybe show the kind of books you like to read, otherwise set them as available or to be read if you maybe intend to pass them on. There are a few of us on here have bookshelves on bookcrossing if you check out the names you could add them as 'friends'. It is all a bit daunting at first I know, but I remember being excited about actually releasing a book 'into the wild' as it were. You can also put books up for RABCK (random acts of bookcrossing kindness) you can find that section in The Forums too. Kind of like a lucky dip in a way. You can download and print out labels too for the inside of your book or just write the number inside, it will make more sense when you have had a look around the site.
