  1. I just started "Once Upon A River" by Diane Settlefield and am only 9% into the book but so far it is awesome. Has anyone else read it?
  2. My Town - Montgomery Gentry
  3. Mississippi Kid - lynyrd skynyrd
  4. You pretty much put it in words for me. Dickens writing was good except the storyline left me wanting as I found it hard to get interested in much of the book.
  5. no, I don't go to many concerts these days. My Way - Frank Sinatra
  6. You are correct, I haven't had a really, really good book this year so far.
  7. it looks like your reading is going well, as usual.
  8. Outlander – Diana Gabaldon – 3/5 – I know this was a hit but just isn’t my style. Sword of Kings - Bernard Cornwell – 3.5/5 – enjoyable as usual with his books Small Spaces – Katherine Arden – 3/5 – enjoyable for a middle age kids book The Old Curiosity Shop – Charles Dickens – 4/5 good read but noe one of his better books The Last Widow – Karin Slaughter – 3.5/5 – another good read but not her best Dead Voices – Katherine Arden – 3/5 – Another book for middle age kids. Scary but probably not quite as good as Small Spaces. This will be a series that Arden will keep on writing. It involves 3 kids, Ollie, Cody, and Brian, and they are involved with ghosts and/or a bad person that is nicknamed Smiley.
  9. Gordon Lightfoot will be in town this month putting on a 2 hour performance. He is 81 years old and going strong. My Coloring Book - Kitty Kallen

  13. Ok, the last of the 'dumb" jokes. Why did the scarecrow get a promotion?
  14. This is my current read. another book intended for middle age children.
  15. Another joke from Small Spaces by Katherine Arden: What did the Buffalo say to his kid when he dropped him off at school?
  16. Do I Ever Cross Your Mind - Dolly/Emmylou/Linda
  17. Rivers of Babylon - BoneyM
  18. I have a new favorite ice cream......Ginger! While on vacation last year in Maine I had a Ginger ice cream at the Red Sky restaurant in Southwest Harbor, Maine. It was absolutely wonderful but you can't eat too much of it at a time. http://redskyrestaurant.com/menus/dessert/Desserts-March-2019.pdf
  19. Little Green Apples - Patti Page
  20. Small Spaces is a bit scary but the main characters are fun to learn about as they come together as a trio....Ollie, Coco, and Brian. Arden has another book, Dead Voices, that takes up where Small Spaces ends and features the same trio of youngsters. Small Spaces had the first chapter of Dead Voices at the endo of the book and I read it and enjoyed it. At some point I will also read the whole book. Dead Voices: Having survived sinister scarecrows and the malevolent smiling man in Small Spaces, newly minted best friends Ollie, Coco, and Brian are ready to spend a relaxing winter break skiing together with their parents at Mount Hemlock Resort. But when a snowstorm sets in, causing the power to flicker out and the cold to creep closer and closer, the three are forced to settle for hot chocolate and board games by the fire.
  21. A comma, is a pause at the end of a clause. But a cat, has claws at the ends of its paws.. Small Spaces is a book for middle age children. I still enjoyed it though. But, not near as much as the Winternight Trilogy.
