  1. No, I haven't heard of her before! Her name sounds pretty cool - makes me think of a private eye I'll look forward to hearing what you think to the book p.s. this is my 100th post yay
  2. I'm now reading Call After Midnight by Tess Gerritsen - a bargain from the charity shop. I also picked up Deception Point by Dan Brown.
  3. Ooooer!! I've haven't read anything by JD Robb. I noticed today at pre-school they had a small collection of hers for sale, one of those book clubs, I was a little tempted - I think it was five books for
  4. I agree with you that Lena was an interesting character but I didn't like her at all. I came close to liking her when she started interviewing Julia in the hospital as she came across as quite compassionate at first. I also felt a great deal of pity for her towards the end, but generally I found her to be such an angry and selfish person that I didn't like her. Mind you, she was in an awful situation and it also seemed like she'd had a tragic upbringing so is it any wonder?!
  5. So far this year I've read The Dark Tower - Stephen King Salem's Lot - Stephen King Odd Thomas - Dean Koontz Insomnia - Stephen King The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini Angels - Marian Keyes Velocity - Dean Koontz Bitten - Kelley Armstrong Stolen - Kelley Armstrong Blindsighted - Karin Slaughter I'm currently reading ??? To read Forever Odd - Dean Koontz Hideaway - Dean Koontz Cell - Stephen King Dime Store Magic - Kelley Armstrong Industrial Magic - Kelley Armstrong Haunted - Kelley Armstrong IT - Stephen King I've now added Stolen and Blindsighted to my "read list". I really enjoyed both books. I was especially gripped by Stolen. I'm not sure what to read next. The only book I've got from my "to read list" is Industrial Magic and I can't read that until I've read Dime Store Magic which is still reserved with the library. I've just checked the library and I can't get any others from my list yet so I'll have a think. I'm popping in to town tomorrow so I might have a browse around the charity shops and see if I can find anything there.
  6. Same for me - I loved the very end. I don't want to say too much as I'm not sure how much is normally given away about plot endings etc in reading circle discussions?:? I had guessed who it was although I'm not sure I picked this up as early on in the book as some of you. This didn't put me off the book though - I thought it was a really good read.
  7. Well I've nearly finished and I'm really enjoying it - I have my suspisions as to who it may be but I'm probably way off!! LOL
  8. I'm really enjoying it so far - Martyn is off to the pub tonight to watch the footie so I'm hoping to get a lot further in.
  9. Meany Maureen - I've just got past the part you mentioned with Sara peforming the pm and discovering the rape - very, very disturbing.
  10. LA LA LA LA LA *walks away with fingers in ears* I'm not going to check this thread again until I've started the book at least!
  11. It's dead easy too - I can't remember if I've posted the recipe before. If not, I'll pop it into the recipe thread for you. It's wonderfully warming in the winter! Thanks for the recipe - I'll try it out in the week.
  12. Boring egg sarnie for me - couldn't even have mayonnaise as we've run out Kell that soup sounds lovely.
  13. Inanna - I thought Velocity and Bitten were great books - I thoroughly enjoyed them I really enjoyed Salem's Lot too jake - Mr King has one hell of an imagination!!! How does he sleep at night?! Here is my list updated. I've added all of Kelly Armstrong's to my "to read" list as I really enjoyed Bitten. I'm trying to borrow them from the library and have Stolen and Industrial Magic but I've got to wait for Dime Store Magic. These books seem really popular but the libraries in our county have hardly any copies! So far this year I've read The Dark Tower - Stephen King Salem's Lot - Stephen King Odd Thomas - Dean Koontz Insomnia - Stephen King The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini Angels - Marian Keyes Velocity - Dean Koontz Bitten - Kelley Armstrong I'm currently reading Stolen - Kelley Armstrong To read Forever Odd - Dean Koontz Hideaway - Dean Koontz Cell - Stephen King Dime Store Magic - Kelley Armstrong Industrial Magic - Kelley Armstrong Haunted - Kelley Armstrong IT - Stephen King
