  1. Have you read Percy Jackson? It’s more about mythology but kind of has the same vibe
  2. I recently read ‘Nothing more to tell’ by Karen McManus. I started reading it in the evening and finished at 4am the next morning. It was great! A similar book series is ‘A good girl’s guide to murder’ by Holly Jackson. I read all three books over two days because I couldn’t stop reading 😅 Also a friend of mine recommended the book ‘Project Hail Mary’ by Andy Weir, though I haven’t read it yet, but it’s definitely on my list. Another book I read all at once was ‘If we were villains’ by M.L.Rio. Hope I could help you
  3. I’d recommend The Glass Bead Game by Herman Hesse. It’s originally a german book with a lot of philosophical depth. It’s a very intellectual novel about music, art, mathematics and philosophy and I really enjoyed reading it (although it’s difficult to read at times due to very complex thoughts expressed in very complex sentence structures). Furthermore I’d recommend ’Dracula’ by Bram Stoker. It also includes the themes of beauty and decay and I feel like the whole atmosphere of the book was kind of similar to ‘The picture of Dorian Gray’.
  4. Firstly, I’m looking for books which include queer characters/queer relationships. Romance shouldn’d be the main plot of the book, but it would be nice if there was some romance as a side story. For example, I really enjoyed ‘the sun and the star’ by Rick Riordan or ‘If we were villains’ by M.L.Rio. Secondly, I am looking for queer romance books, but some that are a bit less superficial than most of what’s trending at the moment. For reference, I loved the ‘Aristotele and Dante’ books and also german book ‘Die Mitte der Welt’ by Andreas Steinhöfel. Books can be in English, German, French, Dutch or Norwegian.
