  4. There were Bridgertons before the eight alphabetically named siblings. In this first of a new prequel series, we go back to where it all began. . . from New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn. Sometimes you find love in the most unexpected of places... This is not one of those times. Everyone expects Billie Bridgerton to marry one of the Rokesby brothers. The two families have been neighbors for centuries, and as a child the tomboyish Billie ran wild with Edward and Andrew. Either one would make a perfect husband... someday. Sometimes you fall in love with exactly the person you think you should... Or not. There is only one Rokesby Billie absolutely cannot tolerate, and that is George. He may be the eldest heir to the earldom, but he's arrogant, annoying, and she's absolutely certain he detests her. Which is perfectly convenient, as she can't stand the sight of him, either. But sometimes fate has a wicked sense of humor... Because when Billie and George are quite literally thrown together, a whole new sort of sparks begins to fly. And when these lifelong adversaries finally kiss, they just might discover that the one person they can't abide is the one person they can't live without...
  5. The first book in the acclaimed, New York Times best-selling trilogy, Wool is the story of a community living in an underground silo completely unaware of the fate of the outside world. When the silo's sheriff asks to leave the silo, a series of events unravels the very fabric of their fragile lives. In a world where all commodities are precious and running out, truth and hope may be the most rare...and the most needed.
  6. The opening novel of The Lord of the Rings—the greatest fantasy epic of all time—which continues in The Two Towers and The Return of the King. Nominated as one of America’s best-loved novels by PBS’s The Great American Read. The dark, fearsome Ringwraiths are searching for a Hobbit. Frodo Baggins knew they were seeking him and the Ring he bore—the Ring of Power that would enable evil Sauron to destroy all that was good in Middle-earth. Now it is up to Frodo and his faithful servant, Sam, with a small band of companions, to carry the Ring to the one place it could be destroyed—Mount Doom, in the very center of Sauron’s dark kingdom.

Books I'm currently reading or have read!
  8. Hello, @Madeleine! Thank you for your recommendation! I have been intrigued by the 2nd book since my dad told me a little about it. It was actually the first book he read, so it gave him a different perspective going into the first one in the series. Which I think is pretty cool! I'm glad you've been enjoying the show, @lunababymoonchild! Too bad about the sound quality though. Wow, he must be quite the character! Makes me want to read about them even more.
  9. @lunababymoonchild I have not! It's a series my dad got into and enjoyed, but I haven't read it myself. I will definitely have to add it to my list! (I can imagine! I loved watching The Walking Dead which was also quite visceral, so it may be up my alley.) How was the TV series?
  10. Hi, it's nice to meet you @Hayley! That sounds lovely! I'll have to check it out! For the longest time, my favorite book was The Rise and Fall of Mount Majestic by Jennifer Trafton. It's humorous and witty and it has beautiful illustrations. It is an easier read, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. Now that I'm older and have read a lot more books since, it's got to be Dracula by Bram Stoker. I love how the story is told in epistolary form, the characters all feel very alive, and how mysterious Dracula is as the story unfolds.
  11. Hello, I'm theMadHatter (or you can call me Meg!) I love reading and I want to make more of a habit of it! I enjoy reading fantasies, romances, and sci-fi. Also, fairytales are still near and dear to my heart. Any and all recommendations you have would be most appreciated! A little about me: I'm an artist, an aspiring dungeon master, a writer, a gamer, and a lover of all things cute and cuddly (and maybe even a little ugly.) I'm very excited to get started here and read with you all! ❤️
