Ok well my attempt at reading The Night Manager by John Le Carré is being discarded. I just cannot get into it at all. Now to decide what's next!!

I watched the series before I got round to reading it...have to admit I'm struggling a bit with it as it jumps around a lot. So not sure if it may end up in the charity bag tonight :-(

I'm the same. They are all sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. She knows how to draw you in. Her books are huge though.

Oh yes I totally agree she did lose her spark that we all loved about her. Have you watched the TV adaption of it?

I admit I didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of her books that I've read. I struggled to find the hook with it. I've not read that one yet. It's in my pile

You should it's such a good read. I recommend tissues though.

I read And the Mountains Echoed last year but like you I struggled with Splendid Suns. It just didn't seem to have the flow of the others. I admit I paused midway and read another book in the middle just to give myself a break.

I actually really enjoyed it I'm a huge Jane Austen fan so was slightly warey about reading it. I felt that it was a good carry on to Darcy and Elizabeth's story. What did you make of it?
