Reading manga The Apothecary Diaries, Vol. 1 by Natsu Hyuuga, and
Komi Can't Communicate, Vol. 6 by Tomohito Oda. Both are with nice storylines and super-cute illustrations. 🙂

Very mixed weather types today. Breezy, some heavy showers, and one loud rumble of thunder (strangely as it was still dry & bright). It doesn’t feel as May spring weather at all!

Trustee from the Toolroom (Vintage Classics) Kindle Edition
by Nevil Shute for 99p today.

Re-reading Lissa Evans’ Crooked Heart. First read in February 2018, but it’s scary how much you forget the plot already! But it’s good to read again.

Isabella Allende’s Islands Beneath The Sea (set in Haiti). I really enjoyed reading this.

A longer weekend for read-a-thon would be good 🙂. I have read very little in the last week, just watching Iceland volcano for hours on end......

Seems to be good, so that’s another online book shop to look at.

When I want tree-books I use Wordery, Hive or Book Depository.

'm very excited to start. I have a feeling, just from this, that I will also love Indigo .
I think you well love this one, as it is really good. And Indigo is wonderful . She's a great character.

Finished What Abigail Did That Summer this evening. Great read, and I'm really glad that Aaronovitch is still producing cracking stories!

I would like see more of DCI Seawoll. Especially as he hates the magic stuff.

Read 25% of What Abigail Did That Summer so far. It did took a while to get into Abigail, as the narrator, but it’s a good book. And I love Indigo ❤️😀.

Just seen and heard the What Abigail Did That Summer trailer on Aaronovitch’s YouTube......brilliant!

Yay, Ben Aaronovitch’s What Abigail Did That Summer: A Rivers Of London Novella Kindle Edition arrived this morning!
Also, reading Lissa Evans’ Their Finest Hour. I loved the Crooked Heart/Old Baggage/V for Victoriy trilogy.
I’m now looking forward to a Zoom E-evening with Lissa Evans soon. So lots of books to read now .

Lovely Zentangle poppy 🙂. Strangely, I find Zentangle difficult and not that relaxing. I just seem to make then messy and not attractive to the eye. But I really enjoy them when I do mono-tangles.
The excitement of sowing the Tomato ‘Gardener’s Delight’ seeds this week. This always makes me feel good doing this, the thought of spring really starting. We grow in a greenhouse, and we had a real bumper crop last year, so I made purée/passata with the glut.

Finished Artemis Fowl and Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer. Started this book in October 2020, then didn’t get into it recently, but loved it in the end. 5 out of 5.

Lovely Daschsunds!

Started mangas Komi Can’t Communicate #5 and BEASTARS #10, as I can’t concentrate on actual books at the moment.

I think I'll do that as I'm only 2 books into the series so far and wouldn't want to read any spoilers.
I think that’s a good idea, as I accidentally read spoilers in The Folly novella, and some of the short stories were unknowable. Definitely read after Foxglove Summer.

We had the gales on Wednesday night too, and a few houses away the workmen’s mobile loo fell over.....

Oooh, I’m obsessed with pens too! My present obsession is waterproof drawing pens and their relationship with pastel highlighters .
I used to do ink and watercolours, but it’s years ago since I done it. More these days I use digital art on the iPad, mostly doing Zentangle digital art. I’m obsessed with this pattern. -

Simply for me, I don’t want to feel as if I’m back to school, writing an essay about the book I’ve just read. There are so many book reviews online/newspapers et al, I think that it’s easy to find other peoples reviews, so I just give a very short opinion on whether I enjoyed/disliked the book.
