Stephen King - Doctor Sleep 7/10

Started Stephen Baxter's Proxima, seems promising so far.

Finished Doctor Sleep. To be honest although i enjoyed it i was expecting a lot more. One of the main things i love about Kings books are his characters & how he makes you feel like they are real but i just didnt get that from the characters in this book. Still cant wait for his next book though!!

King mentions Charlie Manx & Christmasland in Doctor Sleep. Theres only one King book i dont really like and ive read it a couple of times and thats The Shining. I dont really know why, but maybe my disliking for that has crept into Doctor Sleep somehow, i suppose ill find out over the next few days. And yes, one of my favourite King books Rose Madder has a female protagonist, also Liseys Story.

Im halfway through Doctor Sleep and its just not as good as i thought it would be, i cant believe im actually saying that as im such a massive Stephen King fan, im definitely hoping the book picks up a bit.

Id probably be saying the exact same thing, it was handbags!! My whole point was that its been blown up to be bigger then it actually was! Theres nothing wrong with a bit of passion & agression in football without going over the top obviously. And anyway if it was one of the above that done it to a Newcastle player i wouldnt be shouting about them getting the sack or 10 game bans, thats just going too far!
