My favourite reading is the classics (not the ancient Greeks!) and travel/exploration, but I like lots of other types as well, although I'm not particularly thrilled with thrillers, crime or horror.    Whether it's chance or not, most of my favourite writers are women (with the big exception of Charles Dickens!).  Apart from reading, my main hobbies are all to do with the outdoors, travel and theatre.
