Hello all, apologies for the lack of previous introduction but I am in need of urgent help to identify a book for my dad for Christmas. My memory is not that great and after hours of google searching I've turned up nothing other than the standards. Anyone able to help me out with a title?
It was a fiction based on woodland animals that went on an adventure. A sweet tale. We had a dodgy photocopy back in the late 80's (I think) which went missing and I work love to buy the actual book for home to read and put on the shelf.
It's not (but is in the style of):
Wind in the Willows
Watership Down
I thought it had a squirrell as the central character and the obligatory owl as a wise figure, but I may be totally confused.
Anyone have an idea what I'm talking about?
