  1. I find it extremely disturbing that this was originally Twilight fanfiction. I did read a few chapters of the first book, but gave up after the word 'panties' started to get on my nerves.
  2. I found is difficult to put down too! You definitely should
  3. Well I just bought 4 new books, and I have no idea when I will read them - so I definitely buy more than I can ever possibly read!
  4. I have The City of Ember series on my TBR list. I'm really looking forward to reading those ones
  5. I just bought 4 new books, as they were 2 for £3 in The Works. I got: The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert Beauty by Robin McKinley Insatiable by Meg Cabot The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa. I decided to get The Secret of Crickley Hall as I enjoyed the TV series, and have read a couple of James Herbert books before. I saw it in Waterstones just before I went in The Works. It was £8.00 in there, but £1.99 in The Works! Insatiable and The Immortal Rules I bought because of the authors. I have no idea what to expect from Beauty though. I guess I bought it because it was cheap and I liked the cover.

  7. Chili con carne and sweet potato wedges
  8. I use a kindle keyboard. I bought it second hand on ebay. It was in very good condition, was only £75 and came with a case that costs around £50 new. Needless to say i was very happy. The first ereader i had was an iriver cover story. It cost more than double the amount of the kindle, and was pretty rubbish. Occasionally i will read on my galaxy tab, but prefer to use the kindle
  9. I definitely do this. I have way too many ebooks to read, that my dad bought, but I still can't resist looking in book stores (Or getting Kindle deals )

    Hey

to the BCF I'm sure that you will have fun here!
  11. Today we're having turkey and spinach pasta bake. And apparently I'm cooking it
  12. I just had a look on goodreads, and the book is actually part of a series of 4 books. I just read the prologue of the book, and I already can't wait to get around to reading it I watched the film first because I though I probably wouldn't be bothered about reading the book. However, the film changed my mind Plus the film was on the sky+ box, and my dad is obsessed with deleting things
  13. I just watched The City of Ember. It was amazing, and I now want to read the book!
  14. Woo, I finished reading The Northern Lights, and I'm about 10% through Jane Eyre, so I'm on track for getting everything read that I planned to read this month.
  15. I finished reading The Northern Lights (at about 2am this morning) I gave it 4/5 stars. Despite reading the book a few years ago, I couldn't really remember what happened, so it still managed to surprise me! The Northern Lights is probably one of the most unique books I've ever read. I love that it is set in a world similar to ours, that manages to be so different at the same time. To me, there is just the right balance between description and dialogue. I dislike books with tons and tons of dialogue, but on the other hand if their is too much description I tend to get bored and skip parts of it. Altogether, I'm glad I decided to re-read TNL. It seems to make more sense to me as an adult than it did as a child. I sometimes wonder why it is even classed as children's fiction.
  16. I had fresh haddock, new potatoes and peas today
  17. I've only read About a Boy. I seem to remember preferring the film to the book, though the book is good too I have most of the others, though I haven't even heard of any of them apart from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
  18. That sounds like a terrible service! Do you mean that they deliver to the work place even after instruction to deliver to your home?
  19. Haha, I have plenty of books that I 'plan on reading sometime'
  20. At the moment I'm about 30% through reading The Northern Lights AKA The Golden Compass. I read it a few years ago, but I think I was too young as it seems much better this time around. (And I liked it the first time). I can't really understand why the series is classed as 'children's fiction' :S
  21. True. I think I'm going to attempt to save up some money though so that I can get myself a big treat
  22. *Sees kindle edition but forces self to resist urge to buy*
  23. A Wrinkle in Time is on my TBR list this year, so I look forward to seeing your thoughts on that one!
  24. Lol, my TBR is definitely over 100 I don't usually read non-fiction, but I did throw a couple into this years list. I'm hoping this list stops me from buying new books too. thank you! I enjoy reading The Famous Five books since they're nice short and easy reads that don't require much brain power. I also plan on re-reading Blyton's Naughtiest School Girl series at some point too. I have no idea what Uncle Tom's Cabin is about, but I've seen it mentioned/referenced quite a few times, so I guessed it was about time I read it.
  25. I keep discovering new books that I want to read too. Mostly through book-tubers (which is how I discovered 13 reasons) I'm hoping that having a structured list will stop me from buying more books, because I have enough to read as it is. Plus spending money=bad So no more watching book-tubers for me. I'm looking forward to reading A Wrinkle in Time. I don't really notice religious themes much, unless they're blatantly stated Maybe this is because I'm not religious myself.
