Good to see this news.  I have to say, I think since James Daunt took over running the chain, it's been a better bookshop.  The children's and YA sections get a mention too, which is great to see, as Waterstone's are a great advocate for children's books in my opinion.  What with that and a fantastic café in my local shop too, I can't deny, this is return to profit is probably down to me! :lol:

Good to hear! Also encouraging to see that kids and young people are reading more too.  A café in a bookshop (or bookshop in a cafe) is about as good as it gets.

It's a perfect combination!  Especially now they've got their own café's rather than Costa's.  The one in my local shop is fantastic, lovely drinks and they use local producers for their sandwiches and cakes, so it feels very individual, like an independent.  Smashing. :smile2:
