  1. Oh Vickie H, thank you so much for letting me know this, I have just finished reading TABOO and it was brilliant, I'm definately not one for crime novels usually but I got so stuck into this one very quickly and had it read within 3 days...I could just not put it down. A highly recommended read
  2. Really like her stand alone books and have read all of the shopaholic ones but I have to admit, the main character Becky really did drive me nuts sometimes
  3. I am lucky enough to have a huge library just a few minutes away which is also connected to several other libraries, with an online catalogue, so I can reserve books from home (for free). Also anytime there is a book that I want and they don't have canusually request for them to get it. I am a bit sneaky and go to my fave site for books coming out by my fave authors and then go straight to my library site and book them so I am usually within the first few to get a copy...I LOVE my libray!!!!
  4. I've just read on another site that 1225 Christmas Tree Lane will be the last in the series of Cedar Cove and I am devastated Apparently there is a note about it in the front of the book 1105 Yakima Street, can anyone tell me what it says as I won't be getting my copy for a little while yet
  5. Ooooohhhhh.....I generally don't read crime/thriller novels, but the way she writes I might have to give them a go....just checked my fave site for seeing when books are released and it sounds fantastic, gonna have to get on to my local library about ordering it in, thanks for letting me know
  6. Is anyone loving Melissa Hill as much as I am at the moment. She is a brilliant chick lit author who usually throws in a big twist to the story at the end. The first book I read of hers was 'The Last to Know' and I'll have to admit when the twist was revealed I sat there stunned for ages, my mind boggling at the fact that I was caught by surprise as I usually can predict what will happen in a book. I have since devoured every one of her books and have never been disappointed
  7. hey emmylou, I do like cecilia ahern but I'm afraid maeve binchy's books, I've never been able to quite get into WOW!! thanks for the warm welcomes everyone, I definately look forward to being a regular contributor and getting to know new people
  8. I totally agree with you about loving Debbie's books, and cedar cove and blossom street are my fave series too
  9. Hi everyone, just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Lynda and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I am a 37 year old Mum of 1 boy aged 7. I'm the first to admit that I am a readaholic and can go through 2-3 books a week. I read exclusively Chick Lit/Romance books and will read books over and over again if I love them. I have tried other genres but always go back to the chick lit type books. I have a particular passion for Irish/English authors. My fave authors include Monica McInerney, Cathy Kelly, Catherine Alliott, Erica James, Debbie Macomber, Danielle Steel, Ilsa Evans, Sheila Oflanagan, Jane Green and my most recent favourite Melissa Hill, I have just finished reading Something from Tiffanys by Melissa Hill and at the moment I am reading Catherine Alliotts' A Rural Affair. I am lucky enough to have a large library local to me and am quite quick at booking new books coming out so I'm usually one of the first to get them I'm desperately waiting for Monica McInerneys new book Lola's Secret and Debbie Macombers new books for the Cedar Cove Series, which I devour, along with the Blossom Street series. I'm relatively new to forums but look forward to meeting alot of other book lovers, especially as I don't know alot of people who love my type of books like I do and can't wait to be able to start discussing my fave books with like minded readers
