I visit my local library quite often and it is a very good one. They usually get all the major releases in pretty quickly. The staff are very nice and talkative as well. It also has a lot of places to sit and read if you want to.
The first Sci-Fi book I ever read was Doctor Who and the Dalek Invasion of Earth, when I was about 6. Even the cover scared me! The first Horror I read was Rats by James Herbert around the age of 7 or 8. First Fantasy was probably The Chronicles Of Narnia.
Anyone here heard of Phil Rossi? He has written a number of Sci-Fi/Horror novels which are outstanding in my opinion. Check out his website:http://www.thephilrossiexperience.com/philrossinet/ He also plays in a band, talented guy! Another great writer in a similar mould is Scott Sigler.http://www.scottsigler.com/
Hi. Yes, I've actually read In The Name Of The Wind. It was very good indeed. I've got the second book The Wise Man's Fear on my bookshelf to be read. My brother was telling me that the third book was supposed to be out in August, but has been delayed.
Thanks. Texas? Cool! Do you read Westerns by any chance? I love 'em.
I think with Eddings, it's best to read the Belgariad series first. Then the Mallorean. I've also read the Elenium series, but not the Tamuli or any of his others. The only Feist book I have read is Faerie Tale, which I think is a stand-alone.
Hello Everyone, My name's Clive and I love reading! I am interested in a lot of different genres. If pressed I would say Sci-Fi/Fantasy is my favourite genre. My favourite book of all time is Lord of the Rings. I also really love the Harry Potter novels and anything Doctor Who related.
