  1. I saw the first 45 minutes of Predators, but fell asleep three times so had to go to bed. Will have to rent it again to see the second half.
  2. Just finished Holy Terror, by Graham Masterton, possibly the first book of his that I've read that hasn't grossed and/or freaked me out, lol. Also just finished Beyond Exile, by J. L. Bourne. Just started Carnies, by Martin Livings, and am enjoying it so far.
  3. Got a few going at the moment, as usual: Day by Day Armageddon by J. L. Bourne Made in America by Bill Bryson Hyperion by Dan Simmons
  4. I'm really tired of having something in my hand one second and then being utterly unable to find it the next!
  5. I am now the happy owner of a Mitsubishi 380. 3.8L 6 cyclinder, automatic, cruise control, and a boot button. Everything I wanted Husband is now the happy owner of a Ford XR5 Focus. Not quite everything he wanted, but he's working on it!
  6. The last one I saw was Skyline. The ads for this film were brilliant, but the movie didn't live up to them. It was watchable, but we felt no connection with the characters at all. Disappointing.
  7. I'm a married mum of 2 I have bipolar disorder I own a domestic cleaning agency I'm getting crankier (or less likely to put up with other people's crap) as I get older I can't sleep without my iPod on, listening to an audiobook
  8. I turned 35 last month. Definitely getting the laugh lines around the eyes, now
  9. Last thing I saw at the movies was Paranormal Activity 2. Last one on DVD was The A-Team, I think. Oh, no, I watched the second Transformers movie this afternoon. I have Pan's Labyrinth here, I just have to remember to watch it.
  10. My God, is it actually called that?? lol I heard Jeremy mention it on Top Gear one night and I thought he was making fun of it when he said the title. Sorry if you're a fan, but over here in Oz that title sounds daft I gather it's your version of Dancing With The Stars, or something like that?
  11. I have a 2005 Kia Rio sedan, polar silver. I bought it new so I'd have a nice, trouble-free, economical car to putt around in. Hmmmmmmmm. It chews tyres and clutches like crazy (not my driving, none of my other cars have done that), gets half the economy it's supposed to, and the ignition immobiliser works so well I had to get it repaired so the thing would start occasionally. I am now in the market for a large, powerful six cylinder car that understands what I mean when I push my foot on the accelerator, and to hell with fuel prices
  12. I'm not a romance reader, but I must say that I found Richard Matheson's "What Dreams May Come" to be an unexpectedly beautiful love story. The whole time I was reading it I wanted to get to the end to see what happened, but at the same time I wished it would never end. It was amazing.
  13. When I was about twelve I started devouring Ed McBain books. I loved the 87th Precinct stories, and still think fondly of Cotton Hawes, Meyer Meyer and all the other cops I got to know so well. *happy sigh*
