Yep some people do keep hedgehogs as pets. But one cannot take a hegdehog from the wild and keep him, that's illegal. But at least here there are four different kinds of hedgehogs which are sold as pets in the petstores. I think they're cute! They're a bit pricy, and at the moment they live for only 5-6 years. And they are definitely recommended to nocturnal people, because they are more active in the night-time.
Do people keep hedgehogs as pets?? I had a 'pet' one once, hibernating in my back garden!

Oh you're allergic too, that's gotta be even more difficult for you because you do have a dog to go to =/
I don't think I could settle for anything other than a dog, dogs tickle my fancy and while I do like other animals, I don't like them enough to want to have them. Well a hedgehog might be an exception... But you never know

Well, I had ordered Breaking Dawn before New Years so it's a legal buy, and Hunchback and A Suitable Boy were totally on my TBR before I bought them. And, Terry Pratchett is just something that you cannot just pass without buying. I think this answer should satisfy you!
Yep I seem to be reading quickly now but that's probably just because Metamorphosis was really short as well as Jekyll&Hyde. I don't know how I'm gonna manage A Suitable Boy, there's 1270 pages...

That was definitely a good gig then!! So many books/authors on your wishlisth, that's amazing. I gotta go take a peek in the which books came to my home today -thread =D Are you going to get down to Dorian Gray anytime soon? That's a book that I've been meaning to read for so long but keep putting it off. I might start reading it sooner if you recommended it
