Karsa Orlong Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I'll watch it just to see how much dafter it can get It makes 24 look like a documentary at times Quote
emelee Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) Hated episode 303, but loved episode 304. That ending reminded me why I like the show. Edited October 25, 2013 by emelee Quote
bobblybear Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Episode 304 is on tonight. I have to admit that I'm not overly excited about Series 3 so far, but it's still watchable. Quote
bobblybear Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Hated episode 303, but loved episode 304. That ending reminded me why I like the show. Yep, loved the ending of this episode. Very exciting things are on the way! Quote
vodkafan Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I have watched a few but it just looks a bit ...well, silly. Who would trust the Claire Danes character with National Security? I wouldn't trust her to go down to the shops without getting emotionally involved with someone on the way and forgetting what she went there for. Quote
bobblybear Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I quite like her character, though she does need a shake up every now and then. Which season have you watched - the current one, or the first one? I really like where Season 3 is going. I'm glad Brody's not in it all the time now - in fact, the worst episode for me, was the one where it was nothing but Brody. Quote

That might be part of the problem, not having been there at the beginning. Yes I know what you mean about Brody too. I really like the actor but I can't watch him in this for some reason. Quote
emelee Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Peter Quinn is on too little. But I am so glad that Saul has a major part in season 3. I love him as the take-charge character. I kind of hope that Brody dies on this mission. I don't really see the purpose of his character anymore. With his past, he can't work for the CIA much longer. Quote
bobblybear Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I agree - we definitely need to see more of Peter Quinn. From what I've been reading, Brody will be involved in the rest of the series, but I just feel like the show has moved in a different direction and he isn't really necessary anymore. Quote
emelee Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Finally, no more Brody! Not that I enjoyed watching him hang, but I really have had enough of that character. It became so silly that Carrie cared more about him than her job and her country. Maybe now we can move on to other things. And hopefully more Quinn. And of course Saul and Carrie. Quote
bobblybear Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 http://vimeo.com/55070029 Just watched this now....brilliant stuff. Finally, no more Brody! Not that I enjoyed watching him hang, but I really have had enough of that character. It became so silly that Carrie cared more about him than her job and her country. Maybe now we can move on to other things. And hopefully more Quinn. And of course Saul and Carrie. I was quite shocked for Brody to go the way he did, but it really was the only way out for him. They couldn't drag his storyline out any further and he couldn't return to America, so they really needed to end things for him. I never got the Brody - Carrie thing.....it just never felt real to me. I also hope the show doesn't turn into a soap opera with her pregnancy either. I can't see where the show can go....I think they will have to bring in a completely new storyline. Quote

There will always be new potential threats on America. The CIA will always have work to do. The Abu Nazir story ended in season 2. Now this Iran story seems ended too. Will next story be a Syrian threat? A new main bad guy will for sure make an entrance. Quote
emelee Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Season 4 will be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. I believe they will make Africa look like the middle east. Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 The second season of the original Israeli series on which Homeland is based, Prisoners of War, starts on Sky Arts tonight Quote
bobblybear Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Season 4 starts soon.....for those in the UK it's next Sunday I think! Quote
emelee Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Sweden is only 1 day behind USA with Homeland. So it starts tomorrow on SVT1 at 9.15 pm. Quote
bobblybear Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Did you enjoy it, emelee? I haven't seen it yet - it screens here this Sunday. Quote
emelee Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Loved it. Feels like they have inserted fresh air to the show by making a few changes. But it's still Homeland. There was in particular two scenes that stood out for me. One involving Carrie in a bathroom. And a scene with 3 people in a car. Season 4 starts with a double episode. At least in the US, and Sweden. Should begin like that everywhere, I believe. Quote
emelee Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Season 4 was in my opinion the best of Homeland. I was on the edge of my seat many times. Season 5 will begin in October. Quote
bobblybear Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Agreed. Hopefully Season 5 will be just as good. Quote
emelee Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Agreed. Hopefully Season 5 will be just as good. I hope they keep the cast from season 4 - those who survived season 4 that is. Quote
