Harry Squater
I am trying to trace the boook that contains the above line r similar. I'm not sure if I have the exact words but I'm hoping somebody recognises the words and can point me in the right direction. Your help is very much appreciated. Hayley
It reminds me of 'The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner' by Samuel Taylor Coleridge but since that's a poem I guess its not what your looking for... sorry that's not more helpful
~Andrea~
'Gusev' by Chekhov? it's just a short story and it doesn't contain the direct quote but has seagulls and a ship and the line "The sea has neither meaning nor pity". Chrissy
The only seagull related book I can think of is 'Jonathan Livingstone Seagull' by Richard Bach.
