chaliepud Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Oops too late, ours have all gone, broke my Magimix too!!! :-(( They look lovely Inver, where are the toppings? :-) Quote
Inver Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 My eldest Andy made them, we are banned from eating the large ones....lol. Kenny just ate one plain, I put some syrup on one...still plenty left for later. Quote
Chrissy Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Oh yummity yummity! I am not making mine until the weekend ~ husband is out tonight. If I remember I'll take a pic or two. I plan on trying out a buckwheat flour recipe alongside some traditional ones. Quote
poppyshake Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I sacrificed the warmth of my pancake by stopping to take this pic it was still yum though I *heart* pancakes! Spare a thought for poor hubby who is forced to eat his meals off of either heart or spotty pink plates. Luckily he only cares about what's on them Quote

Inver Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Poppy....top marks for presentation. I have just had another two pancakes, with vanilla ice cream, banana and choc sauce....yummy. Quote
chaliepud Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Mmmmm, I had bananas, chopped nuts and green and blacks vanilla ice cream.. My daughter had nutella and hundreds and thousands, I had a nibble, it was surprisingly lovely! Quote
Kell Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I see you made Scotch pancakes (aka drop scones), Diane - yummers! I made the traditional crepes for dessert tonigth after tea. We rarely have dessert, but you can't NOT have pancakes on Pancake Day!!! Usually the first one turns out looking a total wreck, but not today - the first one turned out pretty decent (photo below) and each successive one looked (and tasted!) even better. Unfortunately, they were eaten faster than I could fry them so I didn't get a chance to take any more photos! I like mine with lemon and sugar, Dale likes his with golden syrup, and Xan likes his with my homemade blackcurrant jam... Quote

I also like traditional pancakes made with a little cornmeal flour added to the regular flour, with buttermilk of course. Quote
