Timmo Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 I finished A Study in Scarlet today and started The Magician's Nephew. Quote
Timmo Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 Just finished The Magician's Nephew. Not sure which book to start on tonight. I might carry on with the Narnia's. Quote
lopeanha Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 How do you like the Narnia books? I still have most of them on my tbr pile. Quote
Timmo Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 Was a fun read, it was nice and easy to read and of course they are quite short. So definitely worth a read. Quote
Inver Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Enjoy the Christopher Paolini books....my son (Kenny on here) likes these too. Quote
Timmo Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 I've read Eragorn and quite enjoyed but I have heard that the others are quite repetitive? Quote
Timmo Posted January 19, 2012 Author Posted January 19, 2012 Finished The Sign of the Four today and will probably start The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes tonight. Quote
Timmo Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Just added the Hunger Games Trilogy to my read list and finished The Sleeping Sword today. Quote
Timmo Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Finished the Hunger Games today, not usually a fan of books wrote in first person but was a very good read and was hooked to read chapter after chapter, can't wait to start the next one now. 9/10 Quote
Timmo Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Just finished Catching Fire, one more to add to my Jan list and just in time Quote
shelley.s Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I read the first 2 of the Christopher Poalini books and really struggled with the 3rd. It was so long I think I just got bored and resented spending so much time reading it. I don't really understand why as I quite enjoyed the first two. I just got sick of reading the 3rd one and the thought of having to read the 4th was too much. I never finished it and abonded it half way through. I hope you have a better time with them than I did. I don't think I will ever return to read Brisingr. Quote
Timmo Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Did you read through all three at once or gaps inbetween? I just finished Mockingjay and will probably start Eldest next. Quote
shelley.s Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Did you read through all three at once or gaps inbetween? I just finished Mockingjay and will probably start Eldest next. I read the first two together but there was a big gap between Eldest and Brisingr, thinking about it you've probably hit the nail on the head because I couldnt remember what had happened at the end of Eldest when I first started reading Brisingr. Althoug you can't really get lost with these books. Have you already read Eragon? Eragon was such a nice fluffy book or a boy and his drangon, the others are much darker I found Quote
Timmo Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 Finished reading 'Danny, the Champion of the World' last night and started I Am Number Four. Quote
