If I buy books I like to keep them (at least for a couple of years), but my house just isn't big enough to cope! So the library fits the bill for me. Charity shops & second-hand bookshops come a close second though. I just love browsing through them and finding some gem you've been after for a while. It's a bit like treasure hunting! I like having all the books I've read so that when people come over, they may say something about it, and maybe even read one.
