Where do you get your books?

Even though I live Stateside, I get most of my books from Amazon UK because the UK publishes paperback versions of the types of books I like at least a year or so before the US does.

I usually get my books from Chapters/Indigo/Coles and occasonally from the library. I used to get books from libraries when I was in highschool, but now I buy them from stores because I like to own them=) and my bookshelf is filling up quickly while my purse is becoming empty xD

I sometimes buy from the bookstore at the mall - although their prices are a bit steep. I've bought quite a few books online. I enjoy buying online, because I can pick from a wider variety of covers. Recently I've found that the secondhand bookstore has a much bigger selection of books, now, and I've been visiting there more often. They also swap books, which is great for me, because I'm prone to impulsive buying on book sales and often end up with things I don't really want.

I get my books mostly from charityshops and secondhand bookshops, and I'm a very dedicated customer of play.com. I rarely buy anything from an actual bookshop since their selection of English novels is usually quite poor and lacking and because I'm used to lower prices (thanks to play.com).

Amazon, Amazon Marketplace, The Book Rack [a U.S. second hand book store franchise], Library Sales, even garage sales occasionally. Even *gasp* the occasional Books-A-Million, or Borders store. :D

Their new books are very reasonably priced as well, and with free delivery. There's nothing better than a bulging Amazon package arriving at your door full of shiny new books :D

It's a shame though, because I love picking up books from the bookshop and taking it home that day. I just can't afford to when it's half the price online.

I get my books where ever I can - Internet (mostly Amazon), supermarkets (mostly Tesco - it's the nearest), Waterstones, second hand shops, markets, from friends and relatives. There are no independant bookshops near me that I know of or I would go there too.
