Help Please.

this is my fave book ever and I really want to get another copy but I cannot remember the name of the book or the author but I do remember the character names and story so here goes if anyone recognises this book please help ...

 

Main characters are Elizabeth and Alexander...

Elizabeth starts working at a all boys college/school but catches the eye of a student Alexander... they end up having a secret affair but someone finds out and she is forced to leave the school and run to London (I think London) but over the years Alexander and Elizabeth who both have married other people meet up now and again and also end up having 2 children Charlotte and Jonothan, eventually Elizabeths husband and his horrible sister find out about it and he plans this crazy business stuff in Egypt (again I think Egypt) but Charlotte ends up getting kidnapped Alexander and Elizabeth work together to get her back blah blah they end up living happily ever after, after all those years of suffering and being apart.

 

Its a romance novel I think and its an Adult book
