DoingCartwheels Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hi! I stumbled onto the forum today after a lengthy session of downloading books onto my Kindle last night. I read almost constantly, and getting a Kindle for Christmas has definitely helped! I like to read everything, at the moment really into Crime/Thrillers but I also love Fantasy (Harry Potter and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy are set favourites) and I love a bit of the classics as well. I used to be really snobby when it came to 'chick lit' until I discovered Jodi Picoult, whose books I adore. I live in Scotland and I'm (relatively!) still a baby at 24. Phew! I can't wait to add to a good discussion as most of my friends and my partner don't read at all! Quote
LittleW Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Yes, you will find some interresting discussions here. And bookfans of every like. As for me, I also love crime and some thrillers. Quote
pickle Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hey welcome, you will find yourself recommended so many books your Kindle will be on overdrive Quote
DoingCartwheels Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Excellent that's what I'm looking forward to! I am already worried every time I check my bank and there's a whole list of "Amazon Order No." Most of them I can't even remember ordering. And it doesn't help when you get emails about 99p books..... Quote
LittleW Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I don't use to buy that much books. But I do the same mentally, by thinking, I wish to read this and want to read that... I already fear, I won't ever have the time to read them all! Quote
