I'm open to ideas, I was thinking around 8/9pm one evening through the week, or perhaps a Saturday or Sunday afternoon? Depends when is best for everyone. I wasn't sure exactly, but I was thinking a general discussion about a book list of some sorts (like last time), just to get things flowing? I'm pretty sure we'll tumble off into whatever subjects people fancy discussing at the time anyway.

I think we worked out that Saturday or Sunday evenings in the UK were best as that gave the best chance for everyone else around the world to join in. We did a book list first time, then a film discussion second time round, and you're right, we did wander of into other subjects as well but it was a good starting point to get things started.

Ok, I'm going to bite the bullet and suggest we have a chatroom discussion next Saturday or Sunday evening (30th June/1st July). My idea for a theme is film and television adaptations of books, and was wondering if many people would be available to join in? I was thinking of starting at 8pm, so to give you an idea of times around the world, that would be:

 

USA 12pm Pacific, 1pm Mountain 2pm Central 3pm Eastern

Germany 9pm

India 12am (next morning)

Australia 5am (next morning)

New Zealand 7am (next morning)

 

Is anyone interested? If so, which day would you prefer? If we get a consensus, I'll start a thread putting some notes on books that have been adapted, just as a starting point, but the conversation usually veers off in other directions as well.

The licence for 20 people runs out on the 30th, so I'll need to see what the response is to this, to decide whether to pay to continue it.

Those days are a bit iffy for me, but the better day would probably be Saturday. Hopefully I can make it since I love chatting with you guys .

I would have but I'm supposed to be away camping that weekend and will be cut off from technology. If the weather is atrocious however, I'll drop in.

Sorry about never getting around to sorting this guys, I've been busy and not been on the forum much recently.

With only three Yes's and two Maybe's, it doesn't seem that there's much support for it. so I don't think it's worth planning anything. If anyone feels like popping into the chatroom on either evening, I might see you there, but I'm not going to add a new thread on the proposed topic, as it's a lot of effort if not many people are going to join in.

I'm also not going to renew the 20 person licence if it's not being used, so it will revert to a 5 person limit. If by any chance interest increases, I can review.

I did try to go in the chatroom a couple of times this evening, but it wouldn't let me in. I don't think it was my browser, but it looked like the license has run out already.

I've asked support to reinstate the free 5 user licence.
