Robert
There was a thread that prompted me to think of this question. Kirkus pays to review books, but does anybody know of any company that pays for reviews? I have the background and have professionally reviewed, but am still exhausting all review sources. P.S. I'm in the U.S., but I'm looking internationally too.
Michelle
I deal with quite a few publishers here in the UK, and none have offered to pay myself or our reviewers. I think we're all quite happy just to receive a free book, especially if it's an early review copy! I would imagine that the only way to get paid to review is to work for a newspaper or magazine? Robert
I really worded my first post incorrectly. I meant to say that Kirkus pays reviewers to review their books. I have worked with them. My question is do you know anyone else who pays reviewers? I apologize for the vagueness.
Michelle
Yes, and I'm assuming that they are US publishers. My response was to tell you that in my experience with UK publishers, no one has mentioned payment. So no, I don't know of anyone else who pays reviewers.
